"Ten Reasons Not to Buy Yorktowne"
1. The finish is horrible. 2. The dealer sales people know it's junk but sell it anyway because they get kick back or "spiff" money from Elkay for every box they sell. 3. Really cheap grade of lumber #2 common in random widths. Your doors look like a checkerboard of small glued up pieces. 4. Exposed nails that stick out inside the cabinet between the face frame and side. 5. Exorbitant upcharges for plywood 16%, paint 15% self close drawer glides 164$ each set. You are GROSSLY overpaying when you add all of the "upgrades". Most other companies offer these same upgrades as standard. 6. They use a razor thin paper laminate inside the cabinet and on the exposed sides in their "standard" construction. 7. "Standard" drawer construction is a slap joint flake board drawer. 8. Really large sloppy 1/4" reveals between the outside edge of the face frame and the end panel. 9. Cheap shelf clips. 10. Really shallow drawers. Things are always getting stuck between the door and face frame. I could have listed twenty more reasons. If someone is trying to sell you this stuff steer clear. They are doing it for personal gain spiff money.

"Yorktowne Cabinetry reviewed by Master Cabinetmaker"
I am a Master Cabinetmaker in business for 43 years. I offer Yorktowne as one of our "stock cabinetry" brands. I have been disappointed more than once with Yorktowne in quality as well as company performance issues. Case # 1: Cabinetry delivered to one of our jobsites. All boxes were labeled correctly, and checked off as the truck was unloaded. Clients kitchen was gutted per schedule the day before cabinet delivery. Upon unpacking the boxes, the cabinets did not have the upgrades ordered. We either had someone else's order,or they were not manufactured to the upgraded specs. My distributor visited the jobsite. The Yorktowne Rep. was a last minute NO SHOW. Result: we lost almost 10 days in our schedule waiting for Yorktowne to replace the entire cabinet order. I requested compensation for our lost time as well as an "inconvenience" amount for our customer. Yorktowne completely ignored the request. They also acted as if there was no problem since they did replace the cabinets. Case # 2 The cabinets were correct on delivery. After cabinets were installed, we started installing the doors and adjusting hinges. Double door cabinets had 1/4" or wider gaps between the doors, with the hinges fully inboard adjusted. Some edges were starved for paint. This was one of their "designer" finishes, which has a 15% upcharge. Upon speaking to the rep, I was sent a spray can for touch up, and a package of hinge shims to close the gaps. This hinge shim kit wouldn't have existed if they didn't know about the problem. The doors are made too small. We also discovered one of the cabinets was made wrong at the plant. Believe it or not, it took Yorktowne 3 attempts at replacing the cabinet before it was right (2 1/2 weeks per try). This resulted in a lot of lost time for us, as well as holding off on billing our customer until they received exactly what they ordered. I also located the manufacturer of the designer white paint, and ordered 1 liter to use with our spray system at the shop, in order to provide a professional finish. Spray cans don't quite cut it. Conclusion: We design & build kitchens, including our own cabinetry. Yorktowne is an option for our customers who wish to spend a little less on the cabinets. Yorktowne's quality control & "Inspector # 2" are almost non existent. I would not allow any cabinet to leave our shop with the problems that I saw with Yorktowne. I will never recommend them again.

"Our Yorktowne Kitchen Cabinets"
Purchased our Yorktowne Kitchen in 2007. We choose the Signature collection. Door style Harmony in Cider Maple. Options included Gold Construction with Platinum drawers. The cabinets have a solid feel and high end look. All of the drawers glide effortlessly and the self close feature works well. I'm very satisfied with our purchase decision. After 5 years, we still walk into the kitchen and are very pleased with the overall look, craftmanship and character.

"Very Satisfing Yorktown Kitchen Cabinets"
I own a set of Yorktown Kitchen Cabinets which I am very satisfied with. These cabinets are great in quality and I have owned them for over 3 years and have not had 1 problem with them. The drawers easily pull in and out and have alot of space. The cabinets have a very lot of space to store everything that you need. The shelving has held up great and I have not had to replace anything with these cabinets. If I were to ever redo my kitchen I would buy Yorktown Kitchen Cabinets. I would reccomend this product to anyone who is looking for a set of kitchen cabinets.
