"Absolutely useless quality control"
Do not buy Medallion cabinets if you want a quality product. We received our cabinets and found multiple defects, edges damaged, nicks in the finish, decor finish on the wrong ends of cabinets, drawers and doors missing. Replacements arrive with the same defects, so basically shipping crap quality is the norm!

"Poor Quality cabinetry"
I have had these cabinets for less than a month and they are already chipping and they easily scratch. I live alone, so they are not getting hard use. They are just a poor quality product.

"Premium Hawthorne"
Bubbling on front of cabinets, and the paint looks like it i yellowing. i purchased them four yrs ago. Funny in an ironic way that I felt sorry that that mom never had nicier cabinets. Well it turns out she did ...at least hers were not falling a part. her cheap thirty year old cabinets looked better then mine after four years. Did I mention I was sent an unfinished end cabinet. Menard ordered the piece of laminate for me to apply. I wa expecting it to be cut to size, but instead received a huge piece of material. This is what the premium line will get you. The design team member who aided me not trained. I dont hold out hope they will honor the contract.

"Upset"
When I received my cabinets for my kitchen I was very upset. on opening the box the base was broken. futher more I was missing a door. also the filler strips were warped. as I am writing this I still do not have a door. this has been going on over 2 months. when the distributer called and said the door was in. when I opened the box there were no hinges. the sales rep told me to fix it or wait for a new cabinet for my sink. he said it would take about 3 weeks to ship it. now tell my wife this! is this the way you run a company.never would I recomede anything. I could have bought home depot cabinets and they would have been better.

"So far so good"
I not certain what the issue is with reviewers and Medallion Cabinetry. I think more people are excited to write negative reviews than positive. Well, our cabinets arrived 3 weeks ago and sat in the garage until we were ready for the install. They arrived in boxes that were in perfect condition and the company that delivered them were professional and courteous. We purchased ours through Friedman’s Home Improvement in Petaluma, Calif. Cynthia, our designer and rep was wonderful throughout the process. Today the cabinets were unpacked, inspected and installed. For about 3 months I’ve had many sleepless nights about our decision to remodel our kitchen and feature Medallion Cabinets, especially after reading all the negative reviews. After 18 cabinets, light rails, crown molding, toe kicks and such there was 1 small blemish, and it was in a spot that was hidden after the install. The install went well, and the cabinets are beautiful. To note...we ordered our cabinets as full plywood, which I believe makes a huge difference in rigidity and durability. I have a few caveats, no matter which company you choose. 1) you get what you pay for. There is nothing for free, nor is quality inexpensive. 2) know your supplier. Check them out, ask customers, going the easy route or the cheap route can only lead to trouble. 3) believe little of what you read or hear. Read it all and take it in, but make up your own mind.

"Sales mason city lumber"
Sound to me that all or most of the problems are with the distributor and not the factory. Ss I under stand our local menards and home depot do not travel out side of their brick and motar buildings and leave all the problems to the home owner. Shop locally with an independent lumber yard or kitchen designer, the same person who will come out amd help you plan your project will be the same person who will take responsibility for any mistakes that might happen. Yes I have had bad finish, broken cabinets etc, but I have always managed to get them taken care of.

"Completely remodel kitchen"
I worked for a wholesaler and we sold building material, and yes cabinets. All i can say to everyone research before you buy. After 34 years in the business and around cabinets you get what you pay for. I truly could have bought cabinets from where I worked and saved a ton of money but I didn't. here just some of the name brand we sell Schrock, aristokraft, kitchen compact, wellborn. But I called one of our cabinet contractors that we sold cabinets too. I spent three weeks going though everything I wanna, I got medallion all wood cabinets. After everything was done my wife and I are very happy.

"Excellent Cabinets"
We bought our house with the Medallion Cabinets already installed. We have a busy family that is always on the run so these cabinet doors are always get smacked and pushed around. We also cook a lot. I'm very surprised at all these negative reviews. I'm currently in the middle of buying a new home and need new cabinets for the space and I would love to get Medallion again. I really don't know why people had such negative things to say. Maybe it's all about who installs them? I don't know who installed these for us. This house is over 15 years old and these cabinets still have another 10 years on them I would say. I have a maple wood finish by the way.

"Best Cabinets--would do it again"
After checking out more than a dozen brands, I purchased the Medallion kitchen cabinets in 2008. With continued communication with the manufacturer, we got the cabinets on time. They are beautiful and have retained their color. They are easy to care for, too. They fit correctly by measuring and measuring again. I couldn't be happier. Now, we're selling the house, and every prospect has absolutely loved the cabinets. They have sold our house for us. I would work with Medallion and the distributor again without hesitation.

"Stay away from these cabinets"
I bought a full kitchen from our local Menards store. I ordered the cabinets in May and it was almost 8 months before I had a workable kitchen. I had to reorder 4 pantries, two island cabinets and a bunch of upper cabinets. The finish kept peeling, the cabinets showed up damaged and my island cabinets showed up out of square twice by 1/4 of an inch. These were suppose to be the premier line but it was far from it.

"Disorganized & Chaotic Company"
The GC we used for our remodel recommended Medallion Cabinetry for our kitchen remodeling which was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. Round 1 - One cabinet came in 30" instead of 15" and they forgot the side panels to the island. Round 2 - Can't find the reordered 15" cabinet or side panels. Medallion won't re-order immediately because they want to locate the missing product. After a few days, they agree to make it again. Round 3 - 15" cabinet and one side panel delivered. Can't find the other panel. It is like pulling teeth to find out what happened. A week later, we are told the panel was damaged, and they are making a new one. The communication at Medallion with the vendors is horrible. They have no way determining where the product is at any given time. You would think that since they are expensive cabinets, they would have decent customer service. Customer service is horrible whether you are a buyer or a vendor of theirs. Unless you have unlimited time and patience, use another cabinetry company.

"You Can't Photoshop Your Kitchen"
After being told that these are great cabinets and worth the time and money, we received crap Home Depot/Lowes bottom line cabinets. After two kitchens and three baths, Elkay/Medallion is standing by their shoddy workmanship. Save your money - buy ikea. You will save over 60% after shipping and install over what you would pay for with Elkay/Medallion. It's time They removed the photoshopped pics from their site and showed the crap the send out as qa/qc approved!

"Worst Company Ever!"
Wow this company really knows how to drag down the made in the usa brand. We ordered through Medallion for our 2 kitchen and 3 bath remodel. Headache after headache dealing with customer service and we are still sending back items on warranty for the third time! Each new item is just as bad as the last. We have requested a refund on the second kitchen cabinets because it will cost too much money to hire professionals to fix what is already here. Elkay/Medallion and our dealer, refuse to come out to the house to look over all the terrible quality issues, and there are many of them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - you'd be better off going to IKEA and saving the money for the same if not better quality than ELKAY/Medallion.

"Lessons I've learned"
I ordered my cabinets through my local Menards. I ended up dealing with several associates, and found that the range of knowledge was pretty limited. They really need to have a "lessons Learned", type data base, to note things like; 1) If you have an "L" or 90° corner, you need to add "x" amount of space, to make sure your drawer handles clear the opposing drawer. 2) If you buy a drawer that has a 10" tall face plate, the drawer "box" will only be 3-4" tall. 3) If your cabinets are designed to mount 3" lower than the ceiling and come with crown molding. Medallion, doesn't add something like an inch lip, to the top of the cabinets, so you have something to actually attach the crown molding to, and give you an inch of wiggle room to play with. Just in case your ceiling isn't dead on. 4) Medallion, will not provide you with the stain information, so you can go out and buy a quart, or so of matching stain, to do trim or other doors that you want to color match.

"Poor quality cabinet"
These cabinets are sold as Menards as top of the line. After receiving my three cabinets used to make a small island that cost 2,000.00 I was floored. The only thing that is wood is the doors and part of the drawers. The rest is partial board and cheaply made. I spent 2 hr replacing stripped screws in all the hardware and reinforcing the rest of the cabinets. I would return all the cabinets if I could. I would advise everyone to say no the medallions from Menards. Look elsewhere for your investment.

"Waiting on Hinges"
I still need to get hinges from them for an upper corner cabinet that they did not have the doors on. I requested those a month ago. Also, they had to rebuild a couple of uppers that I ordered as being 2 feet deep, not the normal 1 foot. I am glad that found a place to give a review and planned on giving them 3 out of 5 when I could. So, here is my review.

"Great Cabinets"
Just installed the Bahama Doorstyle in Maple with White Paint in our laundry room and my husband and I are so excited. We love the door and the finish. Our whole house as well as my parents have been redone in this cabinet line and are all extremely happy. Thank you and will spread the work.

"Regretting my decision!"
My Schuler (Medallion) Cabinets are a tremendous disappointment! They were sold to me through Lowes as semi-custom, high quality cabinet, having the "best finish" of any product out there. Not true. All of the cabinets were delivered to my home on January 8, 2016. Close to half of the doors had to be reordered because of poor paint finish or defects. Even the reordered products that I waited 3 weeks each time for were coming in defected! Problem after problem! It's now July. I still have several doors that need replacing. The edges of the recessed panels and/or trim look dirty. It's not dirty. There is no paint on the edges. Schuler is wanting a furniture medic to work on the doors. I didn't pay for spray painted cabinets! Schuler does not stand behind their product and the rep seems irritated because I'm wanting the high quality cabinets they advertise! It seems if they drag their feet long enough and make you wait month after month, you'll give up and live with the crap they sent you. I've done a kitchen remodel before with KraftMaid. Not one cabinet was rejected and reordered. Buying Schuler Cabinets is a bad decision I'll be regretting for a very long time.
