"Terrible Quality"
The cabinet looks very good in the photos, but when you unpack it, you realize that the construction is shameful. The back which is some sort of fibreboard is not even screwed to the frame, but stapled. It will not last long. Don't be tempted by the cheap price

"Horrible"
What a joke! You get less than you pay for! From no shelf to 2 shelves to staples hanging out to crooked not adjustable doors due to screw misplacement to wrongly drilled holes for shelf pins... pin holes in finish, drip marks in finish. We even had missing shelves from a pantry! They are inexpensive for a reason an that's quality it's not there! The sales person said you get what you pay for... nice hunh. And this from our local big name home improvement store!

"Don't buy these cabinets"
I have never been more dissatisfied with a product. This the second time in my life I have remodeled a kitchen and it will be the last I will ever use these cabinets. Missing a shelf, poor workmanship, irregular coloring, not stapled together evenly & poor quality over all. Nothing fit together. Paid to much for such an inferior product.

"Poor quality for custom cabinets"
I wish I had checked the reviews before purchasing the Hampton Bay cabinets. The base cabinets came without the mounting blocks to install the countertop, no holes were drilled for the shelf pins and they are cheaply made. Drawers are not dovetailed and interior of the drawers is soft pine. Cabinets are not square and the backs have a number of extra holes for drawers. Don't buy Hampton Bay cabinets.

"Do not buy Hampton Bay cabinets"
Very cheaply made produce. I ordered 8 cabinets 3 base cabinets and 5 wall cabinets 7/8 were damaged when I received them. One of them had a hole completely through it! All scratched up, glue all over them, colors did not match in the same cabinet order. Home depot tried to fix and replace a drawer base for me 3 times and all three times they gave me the wrong size drawers. The last time they came out to "fix" a drawer they brought me the drawer completely cracked in half and glued back together. Horrible horrible horrible product. Do not buy! U cant even sneeze next to these cabinets without the paint chipping iff of them. Close them to fast and the paint scratches. Theyre garbage!

"Quality of cabinets"
I received cabinets that were scratched, black blotches on front of cabinets, cracked doors, excess glue on outside of cabinet, and nails and staples sticking out where they should not. I have taken back nearly half of cabinets to exchange and still have a problem finding a decent one to replace them. I would not recommend these cabinets to anyone.

"Scratched, not stained, issues a year later"
Our kitchen was a new build. We believed we were buying a Quality product, cabinet doors were not stained completely and many were deeply scratched. We had to replace 13 doors. Some of the replacements were worse than the originals, one was not even put together right. After a year the insides are swollen from moisture, not water, just moisture from dishes. My old kitchen looked better after 15 years than the Hampton Bay brand after a year. Complete waste of money. Don't buy them.

"Beyond disappointed"
I have never been more dissatisfied and disappointed. I have ordered 21 cabinets and when we received them 3 right off the pallet were damaged and not by shipping they had scratches and they filled with stain to try to cover up. We have to wait another 3 weeks to finish our kitchen. So this evening we had at least one side of the kitchen that we could complete one wall. Four of the six cabinets we had to return and when we went back to Home Depot they exchange with no issues. However we took the cabinets home and opened the boxes and 2 of the four have damage. We will be calling the company to replace the door but the smaller cabinet we went back to Home Depot to replace and they had 3 in stock all damaged now we are on our way to another store that has 6 cabinets available. This has been an awe full experience and so stressful for my husband and I. We have not even got to the bottom cabinets yet. I am afraid to look!

"Aaron Hawkins 30" Harvest base cabinet."
The actual unit is fine. Hampton Bay has a policy that is inexcusable. I'm in property management and installed a 30" base cabinet 3 years ago. A tenant moved out and there is a missing drawer. Having been so long ago I no longer have a proof of purchase. I asked if I could just buy a drawer. The policy of this company is to not send or even make available a drawer unless I have a receipt. So now I need to buy a cabinet to get a drawer. Do they think someone would just want a drawer and build around it. This is an offensively stupid corporate policy. It makes zero sense. I do minimum of 20 units a year. I will make it a point to never use this companies products again. I will recommend to others in my field to avoid at all costs also add to that the customer service rep was rude and short. Complete fail.

"Cheap, warped, misaligned, etc."
These cabinets are awful. This has been one of the most depressing and disappointing purchases I have ever made. What I got was not what I saw in the Hampton Bay cabinet demo area. I had apparently seen the "Designer Series" cabinets and what I ordered is their "base model" stuff. It took two weeks longer than told to receive them. I was out of town when they arrived and had some cabinet guys put them up. Got home and what I saw disgusted me. Cheap, cheap and cheap. Some sides warped. Not aligned or plum (according to my cabinet guys). Glue mess on several. Not nailed together or aligned on a few. Corners of doors with film covering starting to come off on others. Was remodeling my house to sell, with lots of other nice work done in the house so now I will be taking these down and putting them on Craigslist and sell to someone remodeling some cheap rental unit. Be lucky to get 50% of the $2,300 I spent on them. Yeah, I feel extremely stupid. Thanks Home Depot.

"Poor Quality Cabinets"
I purchased these cabinets for my wife's hobby room. They are barely O.K. for that use and would never be suitable for my kitchen. They are poorly made and are not at all plumb. Two cabinets which are to be standing side by side are touching at the top and a half inch apart at the bottom. The cabinets are even a different height, which makes placing the Hampton Bay Formica counter top problematic. Speaking about the counter top it will sag in the center when supported at both ends six feet apart. The coating is very delicate and can be scratched easily. If these were for my kitchen, I would return the darned things.

"Too many dings"
Update to 07/02/16 review; Home Depot made good on their promise to exchange cabinet doors with scratches in them for replacement doors. Although this took some time, I am now very happy with the cabinets.

"Stay away from Hampton Bay!"
I've been installing cabinets for 20 years. These cabinets are of the poorest quality I have seen! Nothing is glued or squared in any way! They are not a rational option to save a buck as they wont last for 10 years! Most people don't remodel there kitchen every ten years! So where is the savings? I would not ever use them in a rental, for the same reason I stated above! My 9th grade son is doing far superior work in wood shop than these boxes that Hampton Bay is calling kitchen cabinets!

"Too many dings"
Hampton Bay is Home Depot's own line of cabinets; Hampton Bay staff are Home Depot employees. I ordered a full kitchen; I told them that I read the awful reviews but since I liked the cabinets I said if they don't mind that I return the ones I don't like, I'll go ahead and order them. Out of 13 units, the drawer base was destroyed (they took it back) and 6 doors had dings. They were slight, but if you paid $100 for a new pair of black shoes and they had a very tiny mark on them that anyone could see, would you keep them? Home Depot sent me 6 new doors. 3 of them had dings. Now they won't take them back until an inspector comes to my house to try to brush them up and really see if they're not part of the wood grain.

"You Get What You Pay For"
I sell Cabinets from Decora to Hampton Bay and I can understand the frustration with Hampton Bay. It's Crap! I only sell it if its for a rental or if my customer is really tight on a budget. What I don't understand is some people are going to Hampton Bay for their dream kitchen expecting quality.

"Better than Expected"
These cabinets get such a bad rep and it's unwarranted. I got a full kitchen delivered to my home and everything came within 6 weeks in great condition. They're built way better than the box cabinets from Menards and Lowes. My only complaint is the drawers could be a little smoother when opening, but what can you expect for a full 12x12 kitchen under $3,000!

"Cabinets lost, delays"
Back in February I ordered "Hampton Bay" Designer series cabinets, I was told delivery would be between four and five weeks. However, at the six week point I was informed that the cabinets had been lost. I went to the store the next day to reorder them, I spoke to Andrea, she made some phone calls, and a rep at "Hampton Bay" had told her that they were found, and would be at the store in Denver in a couple of days. I waited a week and still no call, I went to the store to check the status of my order, and again, they said they could not find them! Seven and a half weeks later I'm back to square one. I reordered again, it is now 12 weeks later from the original date, still no cabinets. I have had my counter top people and electricians pushed back this whole time not to mention how my customer is feeling with their kitchen upside down for all this time. I tried to reach management at "Hampton Bay" and nobody has responded for over a week. I kept with it and finally got a hold of somebody, they basically said they were not going to compensate me, but yet I have to compensate my customer for the inconvenience. They basically told me there was nothing they would or could do about it. I will make sure I steer all my colleagues away from "Hampton Bay" and will do everything in my power to not let this happen to anybody else. "Hampton Bay" is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with in 35 years... I will recommend any other cabinet company other then "Hampton Bay cabinets" sold through home depot...

"So disappointed"
We saved for years to redo our kitchen. On the advice of our local hardware store in Houlton Maine, we purchased well over $4000 worth of unfinished Hampton Bay Oak cabinets. When finished, with an undercoat and three top coats of expensive paint, they were streaked. We had them refinished again, and then once more. They are still streaked. They look horrible, and took the excitement and happiness away from a project that we had planned for years. I would not recommend the cabinets, nor the hardware store who was responsible for the recommending and the ordering. When they came out to see the product, they simply scratched their heads.

"Nightmare"
I am so totally unsatisfied! Our cabinets came in on time. But 3 were badly damaged The sink base, a 30 inch base and the microwave bridge. that was 3 weeks ago. Monday will be 4 weeks. My husband has had to put some of the cabinets back together already. The two that he is using for the island aren't even square!
