"Bathroom Installation"
Absolute garbage! We bought 5 cabinets. We had to make a 30" high kitchen wall cabinet to fit in line with the rest of our 35" high floor cabinets/vanity. We paid just under $2,000 for the 5 cabinets, average $400/ unit. What we got was... Sawdust, glue, staples and contact paper! The "supplied hardware" to mount with wouldn't even hold up to my DeWalt drill/driver! I had to go to Lowe's and buy a box of "HARDENED" cabinet screw's, guess what... They went right in! Absolutely no problem with them!

"Piece of junk"
I work for a small kitchen cabinet wholesale type (meaning we stock multiple brands of cabinets) business. Sadly to say in the last year or so probably 16 out of the 20 installations I have done were Aristokraft. The cabinets are junk. Made out of particle board (maybe osb if you are lucky) they arrive with various dents and scratches and before you even put them up they are warped, some pieces are to large, others too small. If you even want to change the shelving layout it takes a good 2-3 hours (I just spent an hour installing 3 shelves because they were so warped and mis-cut). Please don't hate the installer. Our lives are hell installing these pieces of shit. Just avoid buying them at all costs.

"Research and Understand"
I design kitchens, and I sell Aristocraft as well as Woodcrest cabinets. Aristocraft is an 'entry level' into custom cabinetry. I always tell customers that laminate and thermofoil are not "life time" products, and that they will last a maximum of 10-15 years. All products show wear and tear, and they will start showing this before the 10 years. Wood is a life time product. It can be fixed, refinished, painted etc. You can not do any of these things with laminate and thermofoil. Aristocraft, for an entry-level cabinet, are great! How do you people think you can pay a third the price for one line of cabinets vs. another? You get what you pay for. And at a third of the cost, these cabinets are great at that price point! Here are some tips: Upgrade the drawers and go to plywood construction (for a small increase in price). DO NOT go with laminate or thermofoil (in any line). How does Aristocraft offer cabinets at a third the price of the other lines? Less finishes available. Less door styles available. Five year warranty vs. longer or life-time. Quicker production - meaning finishes aren't as 'perfect' as the higher-end lines! Bottom Line: You get what you pay for! And for the price, Aristocraft are great cabinets! If you want perfection, a life-time warranty, and the highest of craftsmanship... you will pay triple the price!!!

"Thermofoil separating from cabinets"
We had white Aristokraft cabinets installed in our kitchen when the house was built - it was the manufacturer offered by the builder - and we liked the look... originally. But that was before the Thermofoil coating started peeling up from the edges of the cabinet doors and the top edges of the drawers. We had hoped that a kitchen would last more than 10 years, but not with these cabinets. As a temporary measure, we tried gluing the edges back down with contact cement, but these cabinets will have to go. Having lived with them for this time, we now realize how cheaply built they are---I doubt that there is a real piece of wood in the whole lot of them; not one well-constructed dovetailed drawer; junk hardware (I've had to replace hinges on three of the doors); one cabinet door is warped and does not close flat; and the interior shelving is lousy 1/2 inch mdf that will not support a set of dishes without bowing. Save yourself the headaches and buy something else!

"Warped White Laminate Cabinets"
All of our kitchen and laundry cabinet doors have been warping over the last 5 years (we have been in our home 17 years); needless to say before we sell we will have to reface or replace.

"Buying a new custom home the contractor has installed Aristokraft"
I just went to take a look at the progress of our new custom home that is being built. I was blown away at what I saw. I could not believe that a big company such as Aristokraft would even let these cabinets leave there warehouse bound for someone's home. The wood used obviously was not from the same lot. Whoever spray stained the cabinets did a horrible job they are extremely cloudy or blotchy. The cabinet to the left of the refrigerator is a joke the bottom cabinet doors are held together with two rods that you are able to see from across the room. This is because they use two doors held together with these two rods so that when you open it, it's one door omg how cheap can you get. The installer should never have even put these in. But I guess it's all about getting that paycheck. Oh I forgot to mention the horrible flaws in the wood that should never have been used, I guess they do not believe in the waste factor you have with all production of wood projects. I was seriously mislead regarding the quality of these cabinets. No I would never buy these cabinets again and I will let everyone I know how ridiculously horrible these cabinets are. These are not fit for my dogs doghouse.

"Awful durability - Aristokraft"
We bought a new house with Aristokraft cabinets installed in the kitchen. They are cherry cabinets with a Cognac finish and they are awful. They are only 5 years old and already the doors and drawers need to be replaced. The finish in particular is not durable, they scratch easily and it is so flimsy and thin. Even drawers and doors that are rarely used look worn already. We were so disappointed in these cabinets but decided to see if we could extend the life of the kitchen somewhat and recently quoted new drawer faces and cabinet doors and it was so expensive to replace just the facings that we decided to just wait and put the money into a remodel soon. Needless to say that we will not be purchasing Aristokraft cabinets ever again.

"Decent Cabinets"
I have owned these cabinets for approximately four months now. I had just moved into a new place of residence, my first, and supplied the house with everything I've always wanted. That being said, what I love about it is the style of wood that it is. It has a welcoming feeling to it as well as a feeling of completion. When you enter my kitchen, the cabinets give it a sense of completion, that the kitchen is fully loaded with no improvements needed. I don't have any dislikes about my cabinet at all. I have never had problems with it seeing as how I've had it for some months now. Nevertheless, I would buy the same brand again because of their style of cabinets as well as their customer service. The installation process for these cabinets were easily handled all because of this company's service. In terms of replacement, I would buy the same brand again and I would highly recommend it to a friend.

Save your money. Here it is in a nutshell. Cabinet shell is made of a thin mdf. Drawers are mdf and held together with staples. Fit is poor Finish is marginal Over all construction is horrible I doubt this cabinet will last 5 years under light use.

"Upgraded cabinets are great"
We've used Aristocraft cabinets in 2 homes and never had any problems. In our first home, we didn't upgrade to plywood boxes, but still had no trouble with performance of any of our cabinets in the 5 years that we lived there. They were beautiful natural hickory. 5 years ago, we installed oak cabinets in our kitchen in this home and opted to use Aristocraft again. The cabinets have performed very well. I like the flexibility of the adjustable roll out shelves, as I have 2 pantry cabinets as well as base cabinets with rollouts. Also some drawer bases, and our drawers work very well. In general, you get what you pay for - if you are buying new cabinets, it makes sense to go for plywood bases and wood vs. Laminate. I think Aristocraft offers some nice basic features at a reasonable pricepoint and I would recommend them to a friend.

"Aristokraft Cabinets"
I am pleased enough with my Aristokraft cabinets. I love the color and they brighten up my kitchen. I have had the cabinets for about four years now, and they still seem like they are brand new. I would definitely order Aristokraft again.

"Terrible Laminate Cabinets"
We built our house 13 years ago and the cabinets started falling apart after only five years. I called Aristokraft customer service to ask what I could use to glue the cabinets back together. The rep told me that they are heated to "glue" the laminate to the plywood and that no glue on the market would stick it back together. I have come to find out that everyone in this subdivision who had the white cabinets installed have problems with peeling laminate. Very poor quality. I don't think I have ever purchased a product this bad.

"Love our Cherry Aristokraft Cabinets"
We purchased Cherry Aristokraft cabinets for our home and could not be happier. We love the finish on the doors. Upgrading to the all plywood construction with the soft close dovetail drawers, we were able to get the semi-custom features without the semi-custom price. It seems to me that the problems people are experiencing are from their own use and abuse and has nothing to do with the cabinet quality. People should read the care/maintenance guide to better understand what needs to be done in order to keep your cabinets looking like new. Friends of ours highly recommended Aristokraft to us and I too would recommend these cabinets to anyone!!

"Very Dissatisfied with cabinet quality"
Just purchased new kitchen cabinets and am very disappointed with the quality of these cabinets. The doors look fine but the rest is nothing but plywood and laminate. The cabinets are so narrow that I do not have the space I need. We have already had to return 2 shelves due to poor workmanship, the plywood was not glued properly and they actually shipped them out this way. Obviously there is no Quality Control. I would never recommend this company to anyone!

"laminate white cabinets"
Our house is barely 12 years old and most if not all of my cabinets are peeling. When I mentioned this to the dealer that installed them. They were "surprised" -- It seems like this is a common problem and I would never install these cabinets ever again. It's worth the price to go to a full wood product.

"Love My Kitchen!"
As a kitchen designer, I selected Aristokraft Durham Laminate for my own kitchen remodel 2 years ago. It's an older starter home and the price point fits the value of the house, & it looks gorgeous! We entertain often & I get many compliments on my new kitchen. I love the ease of cleaning the cabinets. (I have college kids that are a bit messy) When I read some of the other comments posted, most of the problem items are not cabinet related, but user ignorance. If you follow the manufacture recommended directions for use & cleaning, you too will love your new kitchen!

"A Homeowner's Cabinet Review"
I have owned these cabinets since living in the home; about 8 years now. I like the look and elegant exterior. I have received compliments on their unique look by friends and family. I dislike, however, the water stains that have appeared on them. I take good care of my cabinets and kitchen and wipe with a rag if any water spills, but over the years some stains have appeared that I am unable to remove. They may need to be replaced in the future, but not for another 6 or 7 years. I would still recommend this brand to a friend, since it may just be my fault that they have water damage.
