"Love my New Kitchen"
I really couldn't be happier with my cabinets. I wanted a simple white cabinet with modern style and our Home Depot designer recommended American Woodmark. They look great in our kitchen and I love the cushion close feature. We did need one replacement door, but their customer service had it shipped in a couple of days so we didn't have to delay the project.

"Cabinets repeatedly received damaged from factory"
We ordered cabinets from American Woodmark in the Ashland style with linen paint. The estimated time between ordering and delivery was less than 2 weeks. The first delivery arrived 40% damaged with a combination of factory defects and damage during shipping. These pieces were replaced and the 2nd delivery arrived with the same 40% defect rate. At this point, the delivery team mistakenly took the non-damaged doors with the cabinet frames after they were instructed to leave them. After this second round of damage, a regional account manager stopped by and offered to have the next delivery inspected at the factory and shipped to us in "bomb-proof packaging". The 3rd delivery arrived with a 60% defect rate. "Bomb-proof packaging" consisted of a single piece of bubble wrap around the cabinet bases and nothing protecting the upper and lower corners. The missing doors were found and left on our porch - leaning against an iron railing in the rain. The subsequent inspection of these doors showed significant damage to the product. We canceled our entire order with American Woodmark and will be going with another cabinet maker.

"Excellent customer service!"
I can't say enough about how exceptional this company has been with regard to service after the sale. The cabinets are very well made but after years in the Florida humidity some hinges needed replacement. Their response was over and above. Would recommend them without hesitation.

"$7,000 Could Have Been Spent Better"
Our order from Home Depot was $10,000 with the counters. We ordered the cabinets and then after placing the order I saw all the bad reviews. I freaked, I didn't want to believe them! I will admit, the cabinets came a little better than expected, but still not the best. But from a delivery standpoint they were not smashed. However; I'm starting to notice defects, some more defects. I didn't call American Woodmark, trying to contact them now though. Some of the doors do not line up at all, very crooked. Also, I noticed things being glued together heavily. The plate faux drawer panel for the sink actually looks like it's going to fall off, it wiggles! There is damage, like very very unfortunate scraping on the top of the pantry, I didn't notice it until now. We installed the cabinets ourselves after home depot quoted us at over 10k for everything, on top of the cost of the kitchen and counters. After installed, things just don't fit in some parts, our pantry cabinet is shorter than the dimensions the designer gave us. That might be Home Depot's fault. Either way, until it's all done, which it's nowhere near, I am not satisfied so far and cannot recommend them. Leesburg is very thin, they will likely rip a hole rather than dent, if something hits the middle of the cabinets.

"No accountability within this company!"
Very upset that Home Depot decided to go through them for our Kitchen Cabinets, we assumed this wouldn't be a nightmare like some of their reviews mentioned on their main website, boy were we wrong. My kitchen is delayed 1.5 months now because three times (yes 3!) they have sent me damaged cabinets. They won't even extend an apology or compensate for the extra time we have to pay the contractors for installation. I have never seen a company have such terrible quality control, how does one manage to mess up the same piece three separate times? Do research and avoid them. My family is without a kitchen and it's costing us extra for their incompetency. I am furious and currently escalating this to claims. No professionalism and no accountability, won't be buying from them again and neither will my extended family.

"Low quality"
So I'm doing a diy kitchen reno, and purchased Waypoint cabinets via a local dealer. Upon delivery, I inspected my ~10k purchase only to be severely disappointed in their overall build quality as well as defects. I brought up my issues with them, and expressed my dissatisfaction. The said that they would send a Waypoint sales rep to assess the situation. The sales rep looked at the defects, and basically told me that this is within the specs of their product. She told me that she would try to replace the specific doors that I had issues with, but could not guarantee that I would get defect-free replacements. So I told her that in that case, I would like to return for a full refund. To which she responded that it is not their 'policy' to accept returns. pictures below: http://imgur.com/a/vccxv

"Visible Flaws"
Purchased through Home Depot. There were many flaws in visible areas. Rep did not bother to come in- person. Had to send one piece back due to poor veneer pattern. Another piece was damaged. It was sent 3x and got damaged every delivery and one time was delivered to the wrong address. Terrible customer service. I would never purchase their product again.

"Poor quality and service"
Stay away! I spent a fortune on a new kitchen to find out when they were delivered what poor quality and craftsmanship they were. Discussed with Home Depot... no help. Spoke with Woodmark sales, nothing. Spoke with Woodmark customer service... Nothing. Now 4 deliveries later, and each time missing, damaged or poor quality parts. So disappointed! Now waiting on 3rd month for my kitchen to be completed. Sad story of a company. They ought to all be ashamed of themselves. They tell me I have to wait until they run another line of those cabinets to get mine. So what they are saying is that people who bought after me, come first? Poor business practice!

"Delaminating, bad track, yellowing, worthless warranty."
Cabinets delaminate almost as fast as you install them. My silverware drawer has a screwed up track and the hardware (Plastic) used is glued poorly and they expect this to hold a drawer of utensils! The actual cabinetry yellowed to a point it looks like I am in a bar. Replaced almost all the doors, and the 2nd round is doing the same thing. I was told they would send someone to fix the yellowing, when my schedule did not work w/ his they sent me paint! When you decide to redo a kitchen you don't expect to have to do it again in less than 10 years. Warranty? Worthless. I blame HD too, I paid them.

Installed this series in 2 home the ease of install was standard procedure. Very pleased with the quality of the hickory spice cabinets. Will certainly consider installing American Woodmark cabinets in future projects.

"Have ordered for many kitchens and they're good"
These are great cabinets for the price. The quality is consistent, and they stand up to the test of time. Be sure to get all plywood sides. It is true that sometimes a door comes in with a nick or scratch and needs replacing, but I always get prompt replacements. My installers have also been pleased with how easily these go in.

"Terrible"
These cabinets are made of poor quality. They ship them out in cardboard boxes with no wrapping. They come in with nicks and scrapes, and the staining is of poor quality. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. Had to have at least three or 4 cabinets replaced as well as several doors.

"Very Deceiving"
We recently received our order to only be extremely disappointed in the quality and workmanship of these cabinets. After a lot of back and fourth we had a rep and home depot come to our house to look at the cabinets after I had spent hours marking up defects with masking tape on each cabinet (over 10 on each cabinet) including issues with stains, scratches and finish. I was informed very rude and unprofessionally by the rep that it is a natural product and everything was caused by the wood and that they would not be reordering the items I had issues with. I couldn't justify the amount we had spent with the quality we received so we are returning the whole order. If you are looking to order dark cabinets (we ordered Java) Look over the sample door extremely close and ask about how the staining and finish will look on the wood and what "natural imperfections" you should expect.

"Total junk"
Stay away from any brand having too do with American Woodmark. We bought Waypoint, an American Woodmark brand. The vanity had a single door 2 drawers and 2 false fronts. Every drawer front was crooked. The 2 drawers fronts were were too big so they did not align with the door. The bottom drawer was so wobbly that it out would not align with the drawer above and did not sit parallel to the face of the cabinet. The finish on finish on the door was different than the drawer fronts. Somehow it passed the quality inspection because out had a quality control sticker on it. American Woodmark either does not know what quality is our does not care about it.

"Poor Quality Cabinets"
We have built 2 houses over our lifetime and the cabinets for the remodel in our 3 house which we live in now are the worst cabinets. The American Woodmark through Home Depot will not be recommended by me. Two cabinets were delivered busted. 3 others had track loose and drawers falling out. Trash cabinet door will not open or close because inserts drags the bottom of the cabinet. It has been replaced twice and still same issue. My husband had to re-enforce all drawer cabinet tracks to keep drawers from falling out. Doors on many of the cabinets had scratches and/or chunks busted out. Finish was not complete on 2 of the cabinets. Not sure if this company even has a quality control department, but if they do it is piss pour! What should have been a 2 day project to complete the cabinet install has now stretched into the third week as we have to wait for replacements.

"Very pleased"
So I read the reviews and almost backed out of my order. Glad I didn't. Not sure what everyone is not happy with, the cabinets came packed nicely. I had a small spot on one door that I was not happy with, it really was tiny, they sent a replacement within 2 days! The corners are mitered tightly and the finish is consistent. I got the plywood upgrade and my doors were Savannah hazelnut glaze. Even the sample door I ordered was of nice quality. The drawer construction was sturdy as well the base cabinets have wood in the corners not plastic like I been seeing. Like I said I got the all plywood upgrade so not sure if that made the difference. Would order again.

"Very Poor Quality and finish"
We ordered a 54 x 34 bathroom vanity from a local supplier. Just opened the box and we are very disappointed. We will be returning for a refund. We thought we were spending a little extra for better quality... we thought wrong. Finish is great on the ends but the front and drawers is very poor. Very thin, blotchy and uneven finish on all drawer fronts... all of them... every one. On the end that is facing towards the room there is a 1.5" bow in the center of the panel. The internal bracing is uneven and not square. One piece of bracing even has major insect / worm damage. The drawers are uneven with different gaps from one side to the other and one will not close fully. Was "inspected" because the sticker said so, I wish I could post some pictures. I have never purchased a product of this price point that was so far off the mark. I would be better off making one out of particle board and painting it than to install this product. By reading the reviews you may get lucky and get a good one but we are getting stung again. It’s a shame to say that it was made in the USA.

"Outstanding Value"
We purchased bathroom vanities through Home Depot while American Woodmark had a promotion for all plywood construction and free stain. We thought the value was outstanding. The cabinets arrived without skins for the back of the cabinet where the plumbing comes through. This was disappointing because we didn't realize they weren't in one of many smaller boxes until installation. This results in a two week delay while American Woodmark sends out the skin for the installer to cut. This should have been done at the factory and we are unsatisfied with this.

"Good budget-priced line"
Hi, we're local kitchen dealer and manufacturer of custom cabinets & millwork in our area. A few years ago we replaced our imported lines with Waypoint as our every-day budget line, simply because of the quality (as well as recent health concerns of imported wood products). Waypoint is a very nice us built cabinet in that price point. They are however not "premium" cabinets, and also should not be presented as such. What are "premium" cabinets? It just means cabinets that have the look and feel of fine furniture, with higher-quality hardware & more refined finishes, more options, details and customization available, and that's about the difference. I have to tell you that the service from Waypoint for warranty items has been just outstanding, accurate lead times and dealer support, all outstanding. We continue to be very happy with Waypoint. It is normal as with any manufacturer, to have a few issues such as doors that need to be replaced during the installation, but it's how these issues are addressed by your dealer that make for a happy experience. Mr. Waypoint iii is not coming out to your house to look at a scratched door. Large cabinet manufacturers do not deal directly with the end-user, so it's essential to have a good relationship with your local dealer. You're buying from your dealer, not the manufacturer. Keep in mind that some of these companies produce thousands of cabinets...per day! And a good dealer will "dress-up" your kitchen with details that make it look like you spent thousands more than you did.
