"Real and compressed wood Don't do it!"
The cabinets are garbage they look beautiful, and that's the trick! The face of the cabinets are made of wood and the rest is made out of compressed wood which means if water touches it,it gets ruined pretty fast. Unlike real wood the compressed wood bits absorb the water and warps extremely fast. I have these cabinets. I am pissed because I paid to have my entire kitchen done with these cabinets and 5 years in I already have to replace them and when I called the manufacturer after a cabinet door hinge broke to just get the hinge. They said they couldn't replace it cause I needed to have my receipt. Which of course I didn't have. I offered to buy it and they said they don't sell it wtf???? Don't buy, not unless you have money to waste!! Save a little more and get all wood cabinets!!!

"Teacher"
We purchased six cabinets to upgrade a laundry room in our new house. Being a retired Tech. Ed. teacher of 31 years having taught cabinet-making a wood working I thought I knew what to expect from these economy models. The hardwood face frames were nicely finished and I liked the routered framework. The case work construction was another story. I expected to have them made of laminated practical board which they were however the construction was very poor to say the least. None of the 6 drawers would stay on the cheep guides which were attached to the back which was made of pressed paper backing. I fixed the issue by adding 3/4" hardwood reinforcement blocking on the sides and shimming up the front with 1/8" strips cut from the optional hardwood spacer. The drawers are now parallel and solid. The single screw that holds the drawer slides on needed to be reinforced with additional 1" screws to insure that they would not come out of adjustment in the future. The countersunk screws they use had only three threads holding the entire weight of the drawer slides on each side. The drawers are made with a simple butt joint stabled together which is the weakest type of construction.I Also drilled, countersunk and added screws to each drawer front and back as well. Each drawer slide is simply crimped on the bottom although it had 4 places to reinforce with screws which were missing. I added those and the slides pulled in tight and straight to the bottoms. I had to call and get entire replacement drawers as the nylon rollers of two were broken in half. This should have been caught by their "quality control" provided they had one. Had these slides been screwed on they could have been easily replaced. Now I have to wait 10 days for an entire new drawer to arrive. One drawer front was attached with no less then 36 staples randomly hammered on and was out of square by over 1/4" making it unlevel with the other drawers. Someone in manufacturing was having a bad day and again quality control was asleep. Although there was overkill on the staples the drawer front still was not fitting flush with the drawer. A better system would to used 1 1/4" wood screws to pull in in securely. Most of the reviews I read gave this outfit a very high rating based on the overall look. I give them that, they have a good first impression however how long with they last and stay together? They claim a lifetime warranty and when I called they didn't hesitate to send out the replacement parts. I still have yet to receive them to make a judgement call. Building them correct the first time would save the consumer a hastle and their company money in the long run.

"I really love having these cabinets"
All i can say is that these cabinets are very nice, they are elegant and modern at the same time and I absolutely love the color of them. Ive had these cabinets for about 6 months now, since i remodeled my kitchen in the winter. I really like the color of them, because it matches the floors really well and the paint goes well with them too. The only thing i dislike about them is the size, i wish they were a little bigger. These cabinets replaced my old cabinets that ive had for over 7 years, and the main reason i replaced them was just because they were starting to get old and they were chipping away. I definitely would recommend these to someone else to get if they needed them and i actually have told my brother in law to look into these because they plan to remodel their kitchen in the home they just bought

"Sophisticated design, fair price."
The American Classics wall cabinets were installed by my landlord last summer after we decided the old cabinets were far too dated. They instantly made the entire kitchen look amazing! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The maple finish compliments most kitchens without looking cheap. The doors are sturdy and the hinges seem to be high quality. They offer the normal spacious design of most cabinets. The design, quality, and price make these cabinets a fantastic purchase. I may consider also installing these in my laundry room as their quality and design really add not only storage, but class and sophistication. I could see the sturdy design being great for tool storage above your workbench in your home workshop or for extra storage in a garage or shed. I am extremely pleased with the American Classics wall cabinets and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for a good cabinet for a fair price.

"Review of American Classics Cabinets"
I have owned this under sink cabinet for about a year now. I love the color and how it matches with the rest of my wood finishes in the kitchen. It goes very well with the stainless steel appliances. I am pretty easy to please and this was a pretty inexpensive piece which is why I like it so much. The hinges creaked somewhat when we first install the cabinet and there was no option to add a dishwasher are my dislikes of the unit. Also there is nothing really inside other than blank space, which for me is not a huge problem but I can see it being an issue with people who want little shelves here and there. In its short life I have never had to repair it. I would definitely buy the same brand again but maybe another unit and I have told my friends to go to Home Depot and check them out themselves.

"KB24-SW"
The white cabinet is not constructed as well as the wooden finish models. The white finish is a very thin & brittle plastic type overlay over particle board and the mysterious door material listed as 'other'. The wooden finish version has a wood door and the finish is on wood. The cabinet is flimsy, very loose and even the door on ours was mounted crooked from the factory. The particle board is very crumbly with plastic corner bracing. I recommend the wooden finished versions if you want it to last. If you want it white....just paint it. I owned both.

"Great Cabinets!"
We had these American Classics cabinets put in a few months ago to replace the ones that came with the house originally that were falling apart. Overall the price was pretty good and the cabinets are decent looking. When we first got them they had a weird odor, I don't know if that was the stain on them or something they used to install them, but it cleared up after a week or so. I really like the look of these cabinets. They are very basic, but attractive. They are really well made, the doors open really smoothly which is an improvement over the shoddy old ones we had. I would definitely buy this brand again, in fact we might see what they have available in bathroom cabinets when we redo the bathroom. I have recommended them to my friends that are remodeling. Great cabinets overall!

"American Classics: Solid Cabinetry."
When we refurbished our kitchen we chose the American Classics line from Home Depot since Home Depot had the cheapest installation in our area, and American Classics was their cheapest line of full hardwood cabinetry. We pulled out the old cabinets and the contractors had the new ones in in about half a day's work. This was essentially a full kitchen replacement with overhead and floor-to-counter cabinets. The cabinets have an extremely consistent finish that has a high polish and shows many attractive natural marks and grains. It has held up well to cleaning and resisted damage from many banging pots and pans, and has not required repairs since it went in a year or so ago. We were especially thrilled with how close to the example pieces our final cabinets were. The hinges are of similarly high quality and are heavy and sturdy. We did not pay for handle hardware (we bought and self-installed that, it was quite easy thanks to the hardwood doors). There are two issues with what we received: the faceplate covering the bottom of our sink arrived bent, and the kickboard that comes with cabinets is not up to the same quality as the other parts. The faceplate was replaced at no cost, and quickly (although credit for this is probably due to the retailer). The kickboard is a cheap composite with a printed or veneered on wood texture - presumably American Classics doesn't consider this important since it is concealed under the cabinets, but it still seems cheap. Many homeowners will opt to use plastic corner trim at the base of their cabinets, making this mostly a non-issue. In spite of these minor complaints, our cabinets are fantastic. Beautiful and sturdy, we would heartily recommend them to anyone wanting to refurbish a kitchen without spending their life savings.

"Quality cabinets on a semi hing end budget."
I have owned these cabinets for two years and they look like I bought them yesterday. I absolutely adore them. They are very easy to match with a nice color of tile and age gracefully. This brand of cabinets is available at most major retailers, their cabinets are top quality, their finish process is state of the art and their selection of cabinets, door styles and finishes is one of the best. If you are considering a new kitchen, this particular line is a great choice. Their warranty, as long as you own the cabinets, is one of the best in the industry. They offer many "custom" options and the only drawback to buying their cabinets is that they are on the more expensive side for semi custom cabinets. If you are considering these cabinets, you will end up with quality cabinets.

"Review of American Classics Cabinets"
We recently purchased these cabinets for a complete and total kitchen renovation. I was initially attracted by the price point as we were on a tight budget. However, what really surprised me was the quality of the cabinets. In the non custom cabinet market we didn't see a lot of appealing choices. We looked at several non custom options and these were by far the most durable and visually appealing. They have the look and feel of custom cabinets that were three times the price. We have had them in for several months now and could not be happier. So far there have been no issues. I would absolutely recommend these cabinets to anyone looking to do a kitchen renovation that wants to avoid the custom cabinet option. If we are doing any cabinet work or doing another kitchen renovation in the future, American Classics will absolutely be my first consideration.

"My Kitchen Cabinets Needed a Facelift"
Six months ago I set aside a budget to finance the remodeling of my kitchen. With this extensive project coming up I decided to invest in some high quality wood cabinets. I opted for wood or rather more specifically oak because of the organic feel it provides the space. Apart from that I live in a forested area, so with keeping with the theme of the neighborhood I chose the brand American Classics Hampton and their light oak cabinets. Shopping around and finding a reasonable price was a simple task as they are plentiful at most home and garden retailers. Upon their delivery to my home from my local Home Depot I was amazed at the glossy yet natural finish. Which the feature I favor most about this product. Since their initial installation about six months ago, the only maintenance related issue was simply cleaning them. I've even had friends and family members compliment my new oak cabinets and since then I have recommended them to four people. I am even considering using the same brand for my bathroom cabinets.

"Mediocre product but a great price."
Approximately 7 months ago, I was at a local home improvement store looking for roofing shingles while my wife browsed the kitchen department. She has wanted new cabinets for a while and upon her discovery of the American Classics cabinets, she convinced me that it was a necessary purchase. We bought the cabinets and had them installed professionally. I was happy with the price especially, but now that we have had them for some time, I see that they are a mid level product at best. We use these cabinets to store anything kitchen related, but the product is nothing special to look at. The design is not flawed, but it not an eye catcher. I am sure they could be "spiced" up a little with different hardware, but looking back, I wish I would have put in a couple more dollars and looked at some alternate options. The cabinets do exactly what they claim to do. They hold and store things, but that is it. If you are looking for something to dress up your kitchen and make it more modern, I would check other brands of cabinetry. Although I have not had any issues with functionality, I would not buy this product again. I have not looked into other products from this company, but the ones I have purchased are mediocre in aesthetics. This product does have a good price, and I would recommend to anyone for functionality; the design just does not fit my home and its seems this product would be very boring in any setting.

"Wall Cabinets for an Inexpensive Price"
I bought the American Classics Kitchen Wall Cabinet from Home Depot a few years back. They were for my basement kitchen and not for my main kitchen. They came pre-assembled and were less than $150 which was a lot cheaper than other cabinets on the market. I was able to install them on my own with little help and they looked fine. Once again, they were in by basement. I would not use these cabinets in my main kitchen. They are made well but the material used is cheap looking. You can tell that they are not custom or high end. In looks, you get what you pay for. However, in functionality, they are great. I have never had a problem with the doors, cabinet box, hinges, or shelves. They wipe clean easily and, since they are white, that is a big plus. I have had painted cabinets that would stain and need a hard scrubbing to get sauce out of. If I ever needed to get more inexpensive cabinets I would definitely buy these again. I would also use them in rental properties where cost vs. income is a concern during renovations. Just by adding a nice knob or handle, these cabinets could look really good. The American Classics Kitchen Wall Cabinets are a good buy and I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a nice inexpensive cabinet.

"Contractors Special"
When I moved into my apartment a few years ago the cabinets had just been installed so we were the first ones to use them. They are pretty much just your standard kitchen cabinets, nothing fancey. I do like that they are a satin finish and that they are white because they are easy to clean and the color makes the room seem fresh and makes it seem a bit bigger. A couple months ago the area where the front of the cabinet meets the side started to come apart a little leaving a small gap on the one near my sink. I am not sure if maybe it happened due to years of steam from the hot water made the wood shrink or something. The landlord had the man who installed them come and fix it and we haven't had any problems since. I like the look of them even though they are not super fancy by any means. They are just your run of the mill inexpensive apartment rental cabinets. I would recommend this brand to anyone that asked for my opinion of them. They are good cabinets and have lasted the 7 years that I have owned them .

"Great Value Great Product"
The American Classic cabinets have been a fabulous addition in the house. We've owned them for just over 10 years now and have liked that the cabinets were inexpensive, easy to install and each one is fully enclosed making it impenetrable for mice. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the cabinets do not come with matching accessories such as roll-out shelving. Actually, most cabinets do not come with any shelving! Fortunately, the cabinets are sturdy enough to install your own shelves and accessories and this allows you to personalize each cabinet to the needs it will serve. In the ten years we have owned these cabinets we have bought them again to build a craft room and plan to purchase them again to modify the kitchen.

"A Nice White Cabinet On The Cheap"
I had to replace my bathroom sink cabinet about a year ago when the room flooded. I decided since I wanted something nice and in a white finish. I replaced it with a American Classics cabinet. It wasn't over expensive nor hard to install. Since I just bought the same size cabinet, it was a very fast install. I liked the white smooth finish, with a plain but sleek look. I have spilled water all over this thing and the press board has yet to bow or mold. The only issue I have with this cabinet is that the hinges have a limited range of motion, but nothing I had to fix. Overall this is a pretty good little cabinet. The model number is Model KSB36-SW. I would say if you want something nice and cheap, I would recommend this cabinet. If you do have a issue with the hinges, they are pretty easy to replace with something better.
