"Not what we thought we were getting"
We just unloaded our MC cabinets today and our contractor began installing. An end panel has stain streaks as it someone just swiped a brush without rubbing it into the finish. Many drawer fronts are unevenly finished as the end grain is not sealed properly and thus absorbs all the finish without any sheen to match the center piece of the drawer front. A simple butt joint was used on an end panel which has a visible gap where a rabbet joint would have been better and stronger. The interior bottom edge where the back meets the bottom shows a gap in every cabinet because they use a simple butt joint rather than taking the extra effort to cut a dado groove. We are worried that as the weight of our service set weighs down, this visible gap will increase. The four-drawer base cabinet had a drawer slide that was not attached at the front of the cabinet and was just rattling around with a broken nylon piece from the front of the slide. Where's the quality control?

"Worst cabinets Ever!"
These are the worst quality of cabinets I've ever seen! I honestly thought they were made in China. Every door and drawer front had scratches dents, chips or a terrible paint job. When you wash them the paint washes off in some places and the paint job is so thin that you barely use them and the paint chips. Drawer boxes came with gouge s and cracks in them, my contractor reordered several pieces but they came back even worse than the first ones. I don't know what kind of quality control they have at their factory, but I can't believe they would even send these cabinets out. Unfortunately I'm stuck with these terrible cabinets, what a waste of money!

"Thrift Store Cabinets"
Just purchased 93 inches of Parker Cherry upgraded Mid Continent cabinets in slate. Previously I have remodeled two bathrooms and my kitchen and used beautiful Showplace cabinets. I also remodeled my mud room and used River Run white painted cabinets. This time I wanted to save some money on my cabinets and used Mid Continent because they were $800 less than Similar Showplace cabinets. Now I know why these were less. These are the most unattractive semi custom cabinets I have ever used in any of my homes. I live in a $700,000 home that is 31 years old and my master bath was in need of updating. Now I regret purchasing my cabinets and having to put a beautiful Caesar Stone top on these horribly constructed cabinets. The door panels are so thin they rattle when they close. The finish is uneven and the wood is rough with virtually no glaze to protect the finish. It looks like they employ very inexperienced day workers to build these products. The drawers are coated with some kind of ugly shellac that glows in the dark. I am so disappointed with this purchase that I wrote this review to warn others about these shabby but not chic cabinets. Beware of Norcraft and Mid Continent as they have no pride in their products. My River Run cabinets which are made in China but assembled in Virginia are better quality than this garbage. I requested three drawer fronts because one had rubbed out corners, the other a split in the wood and a pimple from dirt under the stain, and the last one because it had cuts and gouges. This is no way to treat a customer and none of this was caused by the installer. The factory is the culprit.

"owner of a Kitchen and Bath dealer with over seventy years of experience in kitchen and bath between my wife and myself."
We supply Mid Continent cabinetry to builders, most homes in the 500k to 750K without the lots. We have had almost no issues. They are extremely sound operationally. I have worked for cabinet manufacturing companies for 20 years and spent 20 as a dealer. I know a good product for the price range. Most of the negative reviews I read were not the cabinet makers fault. A lady said she waited 2 1/2 months for cabinet replacements. That is on the dealer's end. Some is on the installer. Wrong finish and size is rarely on the manufacturer. Usually that is on dealer/designer. A lot of the other complaints are unrealistic expectations. One said they were not all wood. There is no such thing as an all wood cabinet. Plywood is perceived to be all wood and as close as you can come to all wood. This is one of the best value products on the market today. My wife opened a showroom 3 years ago and has shipped hundreds of kitchens with almost no issues. We have had one big issue which can happen with any priced cabinet line. The home was new construction. We had all fixes made within a few weeks and did not delay construction one day.

As a kitchen designer I have experience with a lot of Cabinetry lines and I have to say Mid Continent is a top notch company with an amazing product line. Not only are the cabinets great quality with amazing finishes, but this is truly a company that cares. I know because I have met them! I have even toured their plant and was impressed with their attention to detail and their endless quest to always improve and provide the most excellent product and customer service they possibly can. This is truly a great cabinet line with endless options and very well priced. Highly recommend!

"Russian Roulette with Midcontinent"
We originally ordered cabinetry from Midcontinent in 2011 for the home we now live in and the cabinets were done beautifully. We have been very happy. However, we are in the process of building a spec home to be sold on the market and again ordered kitchen cabinets from Midcontinent. This time was a completely different story. The cabinets had missing stain, broken sides and bottoms, stripped screws with the drawers just left hanging, warped shelving and the list goes on. Every box we opened was excruciating. The other reviewers are correct in that there is absolutely no quality control in this manufacturer. If you get a good assembler, you get good cabinets. If you happen to get the lazy drunk who hates his job, you get bad cabinets. That's what we ended up with this time. So unfortunate. We have several more spec houses to build and we will be taking our business to a different manufacturer.

"Kitchen Remodel"
Our kitchen has been complete for about a month now and I cannot be any happier with our new Mid Continent cabinets. Each one of my cabinets was customized to my needs. We have a very busy kitchen, as we love to entertain, and the new cabinets make life so much easier for me. The craftsmanship is bar none. They are very well manufactured. I did something a little different and did lighter top cabinets and darker bottom cabinets. The contrast is incredible. We have gotten many compliments. We are very happy customers and have quite a few friends interested in new kitchens and will absolutely recommend they go with Mid Continent!

"Happy at start and still happy 10 years on"
We renovated our kitchen 10 years ago and installed a complete Mid Continent kitchen cabinet set purchased from Direct Buy. The cabinets, draws , roll out shelves have held up well and the exterior finishes are still in fine shape. Sometime in the first two years of installation one of the draw guides jammed and needed to be replaced. I called Direct Buy and they sent out the part and I installed it. Now after ten years one of the door hinges snapped and needed to be replaced. I took a picture of the part and emailed it to Mid Continent asking them to send me a replacement hinge plus a spare and bill me. The next day I got an email back from Jerilyn Foster, Customer Service Supervisor, telling they were shipping the hinges out no charge Fed ex. You can not do better than that. Great product that has performed well and great customer service. I would recommend this company heartily.

"Customer Service done right!"
I had a hinge break. It was a unique style hinge for a corner cabinet that has a double folding door. I figured one of the local big box stores would have a suitable replacement, but after several attempts and several returns, I figured that I was going to have to look elsewhere for a solution. We had a sticker on the inside of our cabinet under the sink that said the manufacturer was Norcraft so I went to their website hoping they had an online store. They did not, so I clicked on their contact link, explained the situation and asked if they could either sell me a replacement or point me in the direction of a distributor that could. I would have been perfectly happy with either of those resolutions, but apparently Mid Continent Cabinetry hold themselves to a higher level of customer service. About a day later, I received an email response asking for my address so they could send me a replacement hinge… At no cost… to me. At this point Mid Continent Cabinetry had already gone above and beyond, but they weren’t done. When the part arrived today, there were two hinges in it with screws, just in case another hinge breaks. That is how customer service should be done! Kuddos to Norcraft and Mid Continent Cabinetry!
