"Two years of use"
We put this dw in a rental house ...our tenants are career air force, super clean great tenants ...it just quit working after 23 months of use...we put all new appliances in all of our rental units and will not buy GE ever again...we have had problems with GE stoves also...it is insane that you can spend hundreds of dollars on an appliance and it just dies...it should have lasted at least 15 years

"Can't wait for this dishwasher to wear out"
We have to agree with the negative reviews that have been written about the Triton XL. We just bought a house that has this dishwasher, and we can't wait for it to wear out. In our old house we had installed a Bosch. It was the lowest water-usage model on the market; it was so quiet it needed to shine a red light on the floor to let us know it was on, and we could put the nastiest, filthiest dishes in it and they would come out spotless. With the Triton XL, is doesn't even clean the coffee rings out of the bottoms of the morning's mugs. We have to wash the dishes by hand completely before we put them in. And it's loud! We can barely watch TV when the Triton XL is running. We can't wait for this dishwasher to wear out so we can replace it with the model that we had in our old house.

"We bought a $1200.00 piece of junk"
We bought the top of the line GE dishwasher $1200.00. Does not get dishes on top clean and it does not dry the dishes. Service men came out several times. Say nothing is wrong with it. But we can exchange it for the $800.00 one and give them $530.00 extra. I never had this problem with my Whirlpool dishwashers. I had Whirlpool dishwashers for 35 years. The only reason I switched is because we wanted the slate color. Now I have a brand new oven/range, refrigerator, and dishwasher all GE.. Never again... Any brand but GE.

"Complaints about GE dishwasher"
We bought this piece of garbage one year ago - spent close to 700.00 on it. We've had GE come out many times and they keep saying it's fixed. I've now given up I have to wash the dishes before I put them in. The utensil trays that are affix at the front don't clean my forks, etc. I was also told to use dishwasher soap, plus some other stuff plus the rinse aid. I am disgusted with this thing and if I could afford to just junk it, I would!

"31 years running"
I have a GE Dishwasher that is 31 years old and still running. When the kids left the house and was just my husband and I, really didn't need to use it anymore so I haven't used it in a long time, put soap in it and started it up and it worked great, except about 1 to 2 cups of water are left in the bottom each time I run it. So far I just soak it out with a dish towel. If I decide to buy another I'm sure it will be GE.

"GE GSD2100RBB Dishwasher Review"
I have owned the GE GSD2100RBB full console 24" dishwasher for 1yr and 6 months. It does wash the dishes, but the thrills end there. This dishwasher is extremely loud and never completly dries the dishes. Overall I cannot complain to much it was the lowest cost dishwasher I could find to replace an unexpected repair.

"dishwasher review"
I got a GE monogram dishwasher. It replaced a ten year old Maytag. I do not preclean dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. If there is leftover food on the plate, I dump it in the disposal and then place the plate in the dishwasher. My old Maytag responded great and dishes came out clean. This is not the case with this new diswasher. The GE Monogram dishwasher can not get anything sticky completely off the dishes or plates. It also sometimes removes food off the plate and redeposits it on the back of the plate next to it. How it does this I have no idea. So now I pretty much have to completely clean all plates and dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I have contacted GE about this and they have said I'm stuck. The dishwasher is working as designed and they recommend prerinsing all dishes before washing. But that is not what the owner's manual says. I was told by one of their customer service reps that she wouldn't even put a strand of spaghetti into the dishwasher. A tine from the top dishwasher rack also broke off within a couple weeks of using it. They are supposed to replace the rack. On the positive note, it is much quieter than my old dishwasher. But I personally would never buy this dishwasher again. I think it would only work well for someone that puts all their dishes in the dishwasher spotless.

"Quiet, Effective, but Small"
I have owned this dishwasher since Black Friday (November of 2010). I waited nearly 10 hours in the frigid Wisconsin temp for this refrig. It has great features, but some issues as well. The strengths include a beautiful stainless finish, hidden controls, and an extremely quiet wash cycle. We went from one that you could barely have a conversation while running, to one that you can barely hear. The hidden controls are great for us because we have a small child who'd love to start it up and let it run! The issues are that although it seems to be a big unit, it is relatively small or lacks space to put dishes in. It seems like in a matter of a few days we have it filled. We only have two adults and a 10 month old and we run it almost 2-3 times a week. The washing cycle takes nearly two hours (not sure if that is short or long) but it does a great job. The only issue comes when you pack it full (like most washers it doesn't do well). I just felt that with the size and appearance of it, it should hold more items. I also have found that when you put glasses in the top shelf, they tip over very easily unless you pack from the back to the front. I have broken several glasses until I figured that out. I think it is due to the coating on the racks (very slippery). I paid around $300 for this during the sale and am somewhat satisfied. Don't think I'd pay any more than that however.

"GE 24 inch built in white dishwasher"
I have owned this dishwasher since I moved into my house in 2006. It cleans well, has various options on the type of cleaning I would like to do. i dislike that its somewhat small. I have a large household, so its a little hard, so multiple loads are needed. I needed a repair once. GE came out and fixed door, wouldn't close all the way. Called GE directly. Even though I did encounter this problem, it's still a great dishwasher and appliance and I would recommend it to a friend. It does the job well.

"I Love My GE Dishwasher!"
We have owned our GE Triton Dishwasher for 8 years and we really like it. It's quiet, does a good job cleaning the dishes, and looks sharp (ours is black with stainless steel). The only thing we dislike about it is that we had to replace the upper rack because the old one rusted and pieces started coming off - seemed like that should have lasted longer. We only had to repair it once, and luckily my husband who is quite handy was able to do it himself (replace a rubber "flapper" that was part of the draining system). We would definitely buy this brand again and would certainly recommend it to our friends.

"GE Profile QuietPower 4 is Wonderful"
I have owned this dishwasher for a year now. It has several different settings which are very useful. I use the quick cycle wash for dishes that aren't very dirty which saves a lot of time and water. There is also an antibacterial setting that I use for sanitizing or for really stuck on food. It has a nice brushed stainless steel look. It really is quiet to the point that sometimes I can't tell if it's really on. The nice display buttons on the front are great. It also has a timer telling me how many minutes until the dishes are done. There isn't anything I don't like about my dishwasher. I have never had to get it repaired and haven't had any problems with it. I will definitely stick with GE for future appliances and I always recommend it to my friends.

"My dishwasher does its job."
I have owned my General Electric dishwasher since I moved into my house nearly three years ago. I am not overly picky about dishwashers, but what I like about it is that it simply does its job. I load dirty dishes in it, start it, and pull out shiny clean dishes at the end of the cycle. I am not sure what else I could want from a dish washer. I suppose it is also a plus that it includes a wide array of different options on the control panel, but to be honest I have never found a reason to adjust anything. I also have never had to repair or replace it. I am not sure of its age, but I know it is somewhere between five and 10 years old. If it were to break down I would likely buy the same brand again because I have been given no reason not to. Overall, I am very happy with my General Electric Dishwasher for my needs.

"GE Dishwasher Review"
Our dishwasher is around five years old, but we have owned it for around two of those years. I like the fact that it is good for sterilizing baby bottles and nipples, but I dislike that it doesn't clean the dishes on the top rack thoroughly. It actually cleans the dishes on the bottom rack, but pushes food left on those dishes to the top rack, and the food sticks inside of the cups and bowls on the top rack. Also the dryer does not completely dry the dishes, so after the cycle has finished I have to pull the racks out and let them finish drying, or towel dry them before putting the dishes away.I only use it for sterilizing; I do everything else by hand. We have never had to repair or replace the dishwasher, but when it is time to replace it we will not buy the same brand. I would definately not recommend it to a friend or anyone else.

"My dishwasher is great."
I have owned my dishwasher for over 7 years. It has been tested by my whole household. All of people here who use it regularly and love the conveinance of it. I love that you can have your dishwashing time cut in half. You just have to load it and put some detergent in, and your done. I dont like that it's loud and uses a lot of water. It does reflect on your utility bill, and that can be trouble these days. I had it serviced one time after 5 years of good service. It was a bad element, so that was not a big deal. I would definitely own another GE. I bought one for my mother last year. They are great!

"Nothing Special"
I got my current dishwasher back in 2007 when my old one broke. One of the reasons I bought this particular dishwasher was that it was fairly cheap without it being a box with a house attached to the inside. Also it has all the necessary wash cycles you could need and more. Now while this dishwasher isn't a bad one, it isn't very good either. It is rather small and you can't over stuff it or things won't be clean when they come out. Not only that but when I put to many dishes on the top rack it sometimes droops down because one of the pegs holding it up broke due to the weight. It can be fixed just by moving it but it is still a hassle. I have had the fortune to never have any problems actually running is and never had to get anything fixed. The brand I bought it from, General Electric, is what I would call reliable. Even though I bought one of their cheaper models it still runs after almost 4 years. They get my seal of approval.

"The Convenience and Inconvenience of an Automatic Dishwasher"
I have a 9-year old dishwasher that came with the house that I had built. It is adequate for my small family and modest home. We use it about 3-4 times a month and I like the fact that it can save you time and energy when a large meal has been prepared and served. It loads easily and this is accomplished quickly. The instructions are clear about what can be put in the dishwasher and I appreciate that information. It is a method that provides the most hygienic cleaning of my dishes, glassware, cookware and utensils. I also like the heated, dry heat only features, plate warmer and variations in the washing cycle that includes: heavy wash, normal wash and short wash. The rinse only setting is convenient and helps when preparation time is short.
The things I dislike include: the use of lots of water for heavy washes, the loud noise it makes while running and sometimes it is difficult to start and this requires lots of adjusting to activate. Waiting for a wash to complete can be time consuming.
I have never had to repair or replace my dishwasher; therefore, I would definitely consider buying the same brand again and recommend it to a friend. This brand has served my family well for the past 9 years.

"GE dishwashers: affordable and efficien"
I have owned this dishwasher for about 4 months. It runs superb. I have owned dishwashers in the past that I had to pre-wash my dishes. With this washer, I only have to scrape my dishes and put them in the washer and it's ready to go! The controls are straight forward and easy to follow. You only need to set the dial and turn the latch at the top and it's ready to go. My only complaint is it's loud. When I run it at night I run the risk of disrupting my whole building! But for someone living in a house all alone, it's perfect as long as you don't mind the noise! So far it has run beautifully. If I did have to call for repair, I hope it would be an easy fix. I would certainly buy this dishwasher again or any other GE brand dishwashers! I would recommend this washer to any of my friends who ask. It is wonderful!

"Best little dishwasher"
After our son was born, my mother came to visit and got tired of washing bottles and nipples and vowed to help us find a portable dishwasher that would fit in our small home. After she left, I happened to come across an internet ad for a GE counter top dishwasher. I called my mom, she paid for it, and I went to pick it up. The box looks huge but the actual dishwashwer was about the size of a large microwave. It says it holds 6 place settings but I can fix more than that and sometimes even pans. I have had NO problems whatsoever, the only 'little' complaint is that if a dish or anything falls low in the rack, the washing arm can't fully rotate and sometimes the dishes don't come out completely clean. Other than that, I would highly recommend this dishwasher. It doesn't take long, heats the water (if you want it to), doesn't leak and doesn't use much water.

"Great dishwasher!"
We've had our dishwasher for about three years now and we absolutely love it. It does a great job for everyday dishes, it's pretty quiet, the exterior is easy to keep clean and I appreciate the fact that the racks are adjustable so that you can allow for oddly shaped or unusual dishes. It has been working error-free ever since we got it and this is a purchase I would definitely recommend. In fact, the only thing I don't like about it is that the main power button can be engaged a bit too easily--for example, I sometimes turn it on when I absentmindedly lean against it and hit the button with my hip. Other than that, however, I am very happy with the dishwasher and I would not hesitate to buy the same model again-although from how it's been going so far, it looks like I won't need a new one for a very long time!
