Amana Dishwashers
Amana manufactures a tall tub dishwasher in two models. They range is price from $500 and $650. Each of the models comes in four colors - white, black, bisque, and stainless steel. Each dishwasher has a load capacity of 14 place settings and weighs 71 pounds and is Energy Star rated.
Amana's History
The Amana company was started 1934. It was established by George Foerstner in Middle Amana, Iowa as the manufacturer of commercial refrigeration appliances. In 1950, the company was sold to a group of investors and renamed Amana Refrigeration, Inc. Raytheon acquired the company in 1965, and by 2001, the brand name was owned by Maytag. In 2006, the brand was acquired by the Whirlpool Corporation, along with the rest of Maytag's brands.
Special Features of Amana Dishwashers
Amana dishwashers come with a number of special features. All models have electronic control panels for easy selection of wash cycles. They also each have a high temperature wash cycle, which the company recommends for tough stains. Both models also come with different levels of Amana's SofSound™ system for the reduction of noise.
Warranty Information
Amana's dishwashers come with a limited one-year warranty, which includes service, repair, and replacement of parts due to defects in the manufacture or materials of the appliances. It excludes any damage incurred by installation or improper usage of the appliance.
