"crap lasted 5 years"
My mom used to swear by KitchenAid so I bought a KitchenAid fridge about 6 years ago. It is no longer freezing my food in the freezer and the fridge part is warm. I called a repair man and he told me it can't be repaired and that I need a new one. He is an independent who does not sell fridges and doesn't work for an appliance retailer. It is leaking refrigerant so I have to trash it. It still looks like new. So sad. I will never buy another KitchenAid appliance and am angry about the money I've waisted on this appliance.

"6 months in"
Only 6 months with brand new (and expensive) KitchenAid refrigerator. Not satisfied at all! The water dispenser quit working a month ago, but after a day it started working again. Now it has quit working again. Not a good sign for a hardly used 6 month old refrigerator. They say "you get what you pay for"... that is not always true! I expected more from a $3400.00 refrigerator. Feels like I got ripped off. I won't be buying KitchenAid products anymore. I vote with my feet.

"Horrible product"
Worst product! Expensive and will have to repair every year! Kitchenaid doesn't care to fix the problems. Purchased fridge with 5 year warranty- and had to have the condenser replaced every year but even though we said it was a bad fridge kidltchenaid said they will not replace the product while under warranty- will only replace parts, and that the problem must occur more than once a year. 6 years into product with repairs every year and no warranty coverage now. They said not covered under warranty so can't help us. Never again. To many problems

"Bad Customer Service"
Charge the billing address twice and didn't send it to the correct place twice leaving the customer to figure out the shipping. Really bad customer support.

"Worst decision is to buy kitchenaid refrigerator"
Save yourself the frustration and do not buy this fridge brand. I wish I know what I knew back in 2020. I bought my kitchen aid fridge in November of 2020 and have had it repaired atleast 13 times. I'm so frustrated! The Guy that fixes it is frustrated, but they won't replace the fridge until it's deemed irreparable. I've had to wait months to fix issues with this fridge. Reoccurring issues include ice maker, freezer not freezing, fridge not cooling. I Just called warranty again to tell them that my ice maker is not making ice. A technician won't be here until end of August. It's Summer and I can't even enjoy ice. Annoyingly frustrated

"Broke After 2 1/2 years. Don't buy KitchenAid"
When you spend $3000 or more for a refrigerator, it should work for more than 2 1/2 years. When a company knows about a problem, they should help to fix it. KitchenAide has discontinued this model and others. They show only one model of freestanding refrigerator as in stock on their website. Could it be because they can't sell defective models? If you ask them for help, they reply with quotes from the warranty. The message is "Tough luck. You're on your own." instead of "We know about the problem and will fix it." Obviously, I will not be buying KitchenAide in the future.

"Nothing but Problems"
This is our second model of their French Door refrigerator. We had so many problems first the first one; finally declared it a lemon and sent it back. Replaced with this newer model. Problems continue- Icing up behind deli-drawer. New temp control did not last long. Fan behind wall of ice maker making a racket, deli-drawer flys off it tracks, exterior handles never stay tight. Paid top dollar ($3,500) for quality we did not receive. Would not buy KitchenAid products again.

"Ruined floors -whirlpool kitchenaid horror"
1. fridge stopped cooling after 3plus years paid 260. 2. a few months later during the pandemic leaking from bottom- ruined floors. whirlpool pretended they would help replace and take care of floors - they did neither. they would not fix - they lied. - i just read they have had a class action. they new what the problem was- a small part in the defrost drain tube that clogs. they strung me along for months. i will Never purchase a whirlpool product again - i have all whirlpool appliances, but never again- run from whirlpool products!

"Lights have been replaced 4 times"
Since we purchased our KitchenAid refrigerator in 2020, we have had the LED lights replaced 4 times. We have a service contract, thank God, but what a huge inconvenience. The service man was advised each time that the problem was the lights. Two times he was sent out with NO lights. What a waste of the service man's time. What a waste of mine Then the appointment has to be rescheduled. We have had service calls 5 times now! I am very worried about what will happen when my contact expires.

"$8,000 Lemon"
The unit itself is very nice but, I have had a problem since I bought it Nov. 2018 and now Kitchenaid refuses to fix the problem that they never fixed properly ever! LED lights should last forever, and they burn out every 6 mos. Next time....I'll buy Sub-Zero.

"POS do not buy"
Our $2900.00 refrigerator KitchenAid model KRFF707ESS01 was purchased in late FEB 2018 and within a few months the lights were intermittently going out. Sometimes they would go back on. We had it serviced for free because it was still under warranty. Then, shortly after it was serviced, lights in both the freezer and refrigerator began intermittently going on and off. Then the exterior of the refrigerator doors developed patterns of rust! (Stainless Steel isn't supposed to rust). Then ultimately, at the 3 year mark, the refrigerator stopped working altogether. When we called the KitchenAid directly, they said too bad it is out of warranty and they ordered a technician who was local and serviced KitchenAid. He came out and said the unit was notorious for lighting problems and the real definitive way to fix the refrigerator was to replace the main power circuit board and then (probably) at least 3 or even the other 4 remaining circuit boards too because when you replace just the power circuit board, there is a very good chance the other boards were affected too - total cost if all circuit boards replaced: $2,000. He was a very honest repairman and said before I charge you anything, I suggest you buy a new refrigerator with an extended warranty... and not necessarily another KitchenAid. So, I basically have a 3 year old refrigerator that is a steel boat anchor headed for the landfill.

"Please do research before purchasing"
We recently purchased the kitchen aid refrigerator in 2019 for 3540.00 and had continuous cooling issues. After multiple unsuccessful repairs kitchen aid exchanged the unit for an upgrade and the new upgraded unit is not even a year old and we are having the same cooling issues. The technician from Dan Marc appliance came out and had to call a whirlpool technician for troubleshooting and both are clearly unsure what the problem maybe. Their plan is to replace the computer in the unit. I have been reimbursed several times with kitchen aid gift cards for lost food and extended warranties. Please be careful when purchasing this product, they are unwilling to refund money for the refrigerator so the next step we are considering is bringing up a class action lawsuit to protect affected customers and future customers. It's not only an inconvenience but also a health risk because of potential food poisoning from not properly refrigerated food.

"Careful: Low quality fridge"
We paid for extended warranty, had about 10 service calls within 3 years, damaged floors and tons of bad food. Now they say this fridge is not reparable and offered only about 60% of the current market price. Be aware: Kitchenaid quality is not good anymore. No wonder the wait time for a call to Kitcheaid was more than 3 hours!

"Freezer Door Wires Break"
Had a side by side for less than 2 years when ice maker quit. Repair person showed me the wires from the refrigerator to freezer door had kinked and broken. He said it happens to all KitchenAid side by sides. The company knows, but still manufactures the same design. There is no fix. KitcenAid used to be good but is now just crap!

"Just awful"
We bought our refrigerator 3 years ago and it's been trouble ever since. It's noisy and the ice maker breaks down weekly. I've spent over $700 on repairs on a $3400 refrigerator and the repairs don't last!!! Customer service at Kitchenaid is a nightmare! No one cares, helps or offers support. Be prepared to sit on hold in excess of an hour only to reach an associate who can't answer any questions! We also bought a stove that had broken down and forget your dishwasher drying dishes! What a disgrace! After spending $13,000 less than 3 years ago, I looking to replace these appliances! It's a rip off and false advertising! Stay away! Kitchenaide appliances are a rip off!

"Poor from the start"
This kitchen aid fridge is nothing like the Kitchen Aid of years past. The lights will not stay on. The whole thing was replaced once a year after original purchase. The lights went off again and months later were repaired and went off again within weeks. Looks good but that’s the only good part. Never buy another one.

"Big disappointment"
Our refrigerator is three years old. I contacted the Kitchenaid service line because the stainless steel finish developed round spots that we could not clean off. It appears that the finish is wearing off. I waited for an hour on hold to be told that we would need to get an appliance service involved. No troubleshooting, no substantive advise or recommendations. Kitchenaid service person stated the resolution would be to replace the doors at a cost of approximately $55 per door. Second issue - fridge started leaking from the bottom, not at water supply lines. Then the noise started. Could have drowned out the TV. A service repair person believes that the unit is overcharged with freon causing the ice build up in the unit to the point that the fan is hitting the ice. And ice is forming on lines and tubing. Bad design and product.

"Kitchenaid customer care is awful"
Had a Kitchenaid refrigerator delivered Oct 8 and by Oct 15 the lowest temp was 60 degrees. Held for 45 minutes and they sent me to a third party repair company. The sensor apparently was in the wrong place. Worked for a few more days and then same thing. Came back on the 26th and fixed it again. Now it is Nov 9 and not working yet again. a $3000 refrigerator that has needed service 3 times in 4 weeks. I asked them give me an exchange - no. Their resolution department said the only option I have is call service. At this rate they will need to show up about 25 times in the coming year. Meanwhile I have to toss food that goes bad every week. Miserable experience - stay away from Kitchenaid.
