History
In 1919, Herbert Johnson created the KitchenAid brand in Troy, Indiana. In 1986, KitchenAid introduced its full line of appliances, including refrigerators.

Warranty
Generally, all KitchenAid refrigerators come with a two-year full warranty, a three- through six-year full warranty on sealed refrigeration system parts, seven- through 12-year limited warranty on sealed refrigeration system parts and a lifetime limited warranty on door bins.
