"Don't Buy Viking"
I purchased a Model RVFFR33655 Viking refrigerator from Best Buy in Boca Raton, FL. The refrigerator was delivered on February 21, 2024. The doors were not closing properly and the stainless still had streaks that were not disappearing with my very high quality stainless steel cleaner. so I emailed Best Buy and complained. The store does not have a phone so you have to email or physically go to the store. On February 26, 2024, a repairman came and informed me that my refrigerator was defective so I ordered a replacement from Best Buy. On March 2, 2024, I received ANOTHER Viking refrigerator and again, the same issue with the doors not closing properly but now the ice maker drawer has a huge crack in it. You can imagine, I was pretty upset and frustrated! On March 16, 2024, I just received a Kitchen-aid refrigerator from Best Buy. My question to you, why do you make horrible refrigerators? This is unacceptable. I’m sure your high-end $12,000+ units work just fine but what about the lower-end models? I did pay approximately $4,500.00. I am an EXTREMELY upset consumer and would like some kind of compensation for just taking time off from work to wait for TWO Viking refrigerators!

"Why Can’t I Give Zero Stars?"
I have found that my Viking Refrigerator has a problem on which I have spent hundreds of dollars to repair. However, at this time it has been classified as a problem that cannot be repaired. Specifically, fruits and vegetables in the fruit and vegetable drawer freeze. The authorized Viking repair company has been unable to fix this problem and Viking has been unable to tell me or their authorized repair company how to fix this problem. Bottom line is that I am left with a multi-thousand dollar refrigerator that is not usable as it is and cannot be repaired. I, personally, would never purchase another Viking product, especially a refrigerator, because Viking does not stand behind its products. It is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that I was ripped off by this company. It is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that Viking is incompetent, dishonest, and/or unethical. The foregoing review solely provides my individual, personal, subjective opinions, beliefs, and interpretations. "Terrible Do Not Purchase Viking"
We purchased the full suite of Viking Professional line appliances, including stand alone 36" refrigerator and 36" stand alone freezer. Since 2015 we have had to have it serviced (repaired) over 8 times. These have not been cosmetic issues, but serious mechanical issues that prevent the unit from working. I haven't been able to use my refrigerator for the last 8 months because the service companies can't figure out what the current problem is. Countless fans have been replaced, the temperature sensor has been replaced, it constantly leaks water all over my floor and does not properly cool or suction closed because the temperature can not be regulated. I spent 30k on my appliance package and have regretted it ever since. We are in the construction industry and since owning this unit I have not once used Viking in any of our projects. I am currently about to involve my attorney because I believe my lemon product should be replaced.

"Viking Appliances are a huge disappointment"
We purchased a full suite of Viking kitchen appliances (gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher), which were delivered on 10/1/2019. Since they were installed, all four appliances have required service. First, the insulated glass on the microwave door was not sealed properly, so condensation formed between the glass. Viking's fix for this issue was a new door, which took over a month to get. The front panel on the dishwasher was damaged when it was installed, so it also needed to be replaced. The panel came with the microwave door about a month after it was ordered. The gas range - which is supposed to be the flagship product for Viking - also required repair. The oven would not ignite consistently and would fill my home with noxious gas that had to be aired out. (The service technician found that the ignitor was too far from the heating element, which is why the oven wouldn't light.) There are no bells and whistles on this range, which I knew when I bought it, so one would think it would do the one thing it is capable of doing...lighting...and it couldn't even do that without a service call. Now the refrigerator is sounding alarms randomly and indicates that our freezer is varying temperatures, as high as 55 degrees. There is no way to disable the alarm and it has taken more than a week to get a service call scheduled, which means my family has to endure this loud beeping that goes off all day and night. To make matters worse, we have a special needs child who is terrified of alarms so this has been particularly distressing to him. Due to whatever error the freezer is experiencing, the compressor runs so much that our food in the fridge is freezing. I have had to throw out a bunch of produce, like apples, pears, lettuce, etc., because of the extreme cold in the fridge. Given we have only had these appliances for two months and experienced problems with all four of them, I would say I am extremely disappointed in Viking’s quality. Their service has been terrible, too. Despite multiple attempts to contact someone at Viking who can help, we have yet to receive a call back. In the meantime, I've had to reach out to multiple appliance repair companies, the retailer where we purchased the appliances, and taken time off work multiple times to have the appliances serviced. Had I known how bad my experience with Viking appliances and arrive would be, I would've saved myself the trouble and money and purchased non-"professional" appliances!

"Ditto, Viking Sucks"
I agree whole heartedly with the other reviewer. I have 4 Viking products and like everyone else paid far to much to deal with the lack of service and poor quality products. On my refrigerator I had to replace a fan that was "loose", sounds like poor workmanship to me. Also was informed that my door was not operating (not catching), but it would be another $250 to replace the hinge, thanks, but no thanks. Paid another $250 to replace two $5 switches on my $1200 microwave. Now the button you push to open is hanging on with duct tape, because I figure the microwave will probably die soon enough and why spend the extra money. My freezer has been freezing up an the problems are apparently very common, it's been 2 months and the parts just came in. Milk last about 3 or 4 days before it goes bad because the whole system is messed up. I'm hoping that when they replace the parts I need (a $500 fix), I won't have to keep sinking more money into it. I would never buy another Viking. They are nice to look at, but a waste of money. I will have already thrown $1,000 into repairs in 6 years and still have a broken door (they claim it is not covered by the recall) and a broken microwave button. By the way, their customer service is awful, did not even respond to a letter I wrote years ago.

"DO NOT BUY VIKING _ look online at the reviews and complaints !!"
Viking issues? We?ve had too many to count. Our refrigerator door actually did fall off. The service company then repaired it. Then came the formal recall. Because the service company did such a hack-job, they couldn't use the new repair kit that was issued for the recall. Had to order a new door. It took months with really bad follow-up from Viking. New door was installed and there are visible repair marks all over the hinges. I cringe anytime the door swings open to the stop point. In addition, we had to replace the heat unit on the Electric Glass Range top we have. It now burns pots on one burner and does not heat on one other. In addition, our top of the line convection oven is so unreliable. For example, my wife bakes the same batch of cookies on the same temperature and one batch burns and the next is underdone. We got a cheap oven temperature gauge that we hang on one shelf. In addition, the temperature control settings are etched on so poorly that they have worn off. Viking says I have to replace the whole front control board , at my expense, just so I can have readable controls (convection bake, bake broil, etc., as well as the temperature settings on the other dial. Completely worn off. The Viking units were purchased in 2005. In addition, our ice maker on the refrigerator stopped working. The Ice Maker is covered under their 6 year warranty. Ah, the catch.... We called and reported the ice maker not working and had a service call on may 26th. (1) It was the hottest summer on record for New Jersey (2) We didn't receive a call that the parts were in until July 20th!! (3) They charged me for parts on the ice maker claiming "This warranty only covers the entire ice maker if it needs to be replaced. The parts that you have listed below were only covered by the 2 year full warranty on the Refrigerator, which expired on 5.25.07." So...if they can 'fix' the ice maker you pay, if the "whole ice maker" stops working, they cover it???? REALLY???!!!! They also charged me $12.50 for the screw that stops the door from swinging open too far. It just happens to be where they fixed the hinge twice. I THINK I HAVE BEEN SCREWED ENOUGH BY VIKING !!! They also were fined $450K by the government for not reporting the door problem AND, they are being investigated for misinformation on the refrigerator's energy ratings (they were reported to be more energy efficient then they actually are). I would love to support American made products, I just wish American made products would support us (and their manufacturers would stand behind the quality (or lack thereof). LOOK ELSEWHERE -
