"There is a reason they call the Nevercold"
Bought my de0061r Norcold fridge March 2012, stopped working just turning 4 years old, but... It's on a boat that was dry docked for 2 years & our season is only 4 months,this fridge has about 5 months total use. Called to Norcold talked to Ed, the customer service supervisor. He said the condenser went bad and it's out of the 2 year warranty and there is nothing he will do. After reading all the reviews on the Norcold de0061 it come down to this is junk, so many problems. Found this as a replacement, almost exact same size. Vitrifrigo dp2600 for about the same price. Let my mistake help you, don't waste your time with Norcold! You'll be sorry...

"Stops working"
We have a 4 month old double door Norcold RV refrigerator that has stopped working when the weather got hot. Our neighbours who have the same make and model have the same problem. How many more people are having the same issues.

"Never Again"
I have a double door refrig. Norcold, the high temp sensor was recalled and replaced, 3 months later the same part went out, The 5th wheel is in Clovis New Mexico, Norcold will not send me the part nor will they sell it to me, they say "you must bring the 5th wheel to an authorized dealer and, the part is 10 days out after the look at the refrig". We have 2 employees staying in the coach, I asked Norcold, while your part is on order where are we to have the guys stay, will Norcold pay for a hotel? no, what about the food they lost will Norcold pay for this no, As a Department Of Defense contractor us Electric, I think I have qualified people to install this sensor for Norcold, There answer, no... I will take the unit out and throw it in the trash and send the video to youtube and Norcold. I will never own a Norcold product again....

"Nocold Manufactures Dangerous, Poor Functioning Refrigerators"
I have a 2010 Montana 5th Wheel. Is is equipped with a Norcold Refrigerator. It had a recall on it for causing fires at the cooling system. I had the recall work done. The cooling system stopped functioning a short time later. The repair cost is $3000.00 (three thousand dollars). To replace is $4200.00. This is a refrigerator in an RV Travel Trailer not a million dollar custom home. The repair or replacement cost gets you the same dangerous refrigerator. The labor alone is $1000.00. I found a pending class action law suit against Norcold for this particular model refrigerator.
