"Amana Refrigerator is Trash"
Today marks 3 months without a refrig. Amana sent guy out 4 times to "look" at refrig without actually fixing it. Besides being on hold for minimum 1 hour every time you call. They will ask you to keep calling the guy who THEY have sent out to fix it. To maybe get a better chance of contacting him because they cannot!??? According yo them this work order is still in progress!?!! This is the most unprofessional crap ever! Dont ever buy from this company!

"Bad design"
The space for using water and ice dispenser is too small for a standard drinking cup. Also the ice pieces soray out and fall outside of cup opening and fall to bottom of cup area. After using the dispenser, water drips and fills the bottom of the cup area, then drips down the Stainless Steel Door, causing unsightly and impossible to remove water marks!!! It's always a mess- I have to continually sop up the water and melting ice. I gave to continuously wipe down the marks with stainless steel wipes, which mask the water marks somewhat, but this should not be necessary!! This is such a disappointing and upsetting design flaw!! I had to cut a dishcloth to fit the bottom of the cup area and tape a piece of plastic container lid into the bottom of the cup area to prevent the drips and melting chunks of ice from staying there. Now it looks tacky as hell but it's the only way to keep the front of the door from getting marred. We bought Amana because the owner of the appliance store said itthe only brand made in the USA. Well, big deal. Amana needs to hire some intelligent engineers and designers. I regret purchasing the refrigerator. I took a photo of the dishcloth and plastic lid but there is no way to submit it to you so you can see how crappy that looks. But like I said, it's the only way to deter the mess your poorly designed dispenser works. The other design flaw is that when switching ftom crushed ice to cubed ice, both types of ice get clogged up in the dispenser and we have to open the door and dig out the ice with our hands and reach up into the dispenser on the outside of the door, necessitating leaving the door open and wasting energy and defeating the purpose of an ice dispenser in the first place!! Now if I want cubed ice (which I prefer), I have to open the freezer door and reach into the ice container, again defeating the purpose of the ice dispenser. We are retirees and don't need to be wasting our precious funds in this way!

"Complete failure of compressor after 26 mos."
Total failure of compressor after 26 months. It would have cost me more than I paid for it to fix it. Amana did not stand up for its product but rather hid behind an extended warranty excuse. Customer service was awful and referred me to an Amana certified inspector who called me to tell me that they don't deal with compressor issues and the appointment was 3 weeks out and I had already paid $220 for the the locally-owned dealer I bought it from inspector to look at it. Gave up and bought a GE fridge online at Best Buy and it was delivered in 4 days. Will never buy Amana or Whirlpool again.

"Don't Buy"
The light bulb went out in the refrigerator section (3 years old) but when I tried to change was unable to get the cover off. Looked at manual, called Amana, sent an email. Turns out I need to pay $135 for a service call to change the lightbulb! Whoever designed this should be fired. As a matter of principle, I'll make do and will not pay for a service call Will never buy an Amana/Whirlpool product again.

"Worst Ice and Water Dispenser"
The design of the ice and water dispenser is the worst I have ever seen. Its hard to hit the ice dispenser without hitting the water and making a mess. And the ice throws out too many ice cubes so they land all over the floor. And the ice storage overfills and ice falls out when you open the refrigerator door.

Second visit he replaced the digital temperature control. It is still on the lowest setting and is still freezing items, at random, in the refrigerator. Have also noticed that there is now ice forming at the back wall of the freezer section. What I was told is that this is becoming a common problem with this refrigerator yet Amana has refused to address it.

"Worst buy ever"
Bought this Amana fridge 5 years ago for a apartment I rent. It always made a lot of noise from the get go. But now it just stopped cooling. So now I have a fridge full of spoiled food. 5 years is all it lasted. Never again will I buy Amana.

"Surprisingly poor quality"
My previous Amana lasted 29 years without any problems. I bought a new one July 22, 2019. Yesterday the freezer door handle seemed loose. Then the handle came off the next time I opened it. I called Amana customer service and was told to tighten the screws on the inside of the handle with a 3/32 or 1/8 hex key. I tried that with no luck. Screws seem to be very poor quality and actually did not seem to be loose at all when I tried to tighten them. I am very disappointed with Amana and will not be buying any more of their appliances.

"Bad product"
I purchased an Amana french door refrigerator 10 years ago, The compressor broke after 5 years and spent $750 repairing it. Now it broke again. If it costs that much again, I will get a new one but not an Amana. Also the pull out tray is flimsy and the parts that hold the cover broke. Cheap plastic.

"Faulty Fan Motor"
I bought an Amana refrigerator Model # a4txnwfww01 just two years ago for a rental unit and the fan motor died and cost nearly $200 to repair. Called Amana and was simply told "too bad". Would definitely not recommend any Amana product. The customer service is also very poor.

"NEVER BUY AMANA!!!!!"
I purchased a beautiful stainless steel Amana for $1300 8 years ago and it has been nothing but a misery!!! This time, 3rd or fourth I think...the compressor broke...A Week AGO...they came out to repair but of course didn't have the part. Now have to order which I am told will take 1 to 10 days to get the part...then set up another appointment...so it looks like I am out of a refrigerator for almost three WEEKS...Each time I have had to throw out $$$$ worth of food!!! This is really bad customer service and a terrible product. Never to buy again!!!!

"Amana Automatic 25 Refrierator. My Likes and Dislikes."
I have owned this Amana Automatic 25 refrigerator for 15 years and have not had the first problem with it other than a light bulb going out. The automatic ice and water dispenser is located between the upper and lower freezer sections at hand level making it easy to get ice and water whenever I need them without having to open the freezer which saves on my power bill. The light located on the dispenser makes it even easier at night because I don't have to turn on the lights in the kitchen to see what I am doing. I also use this light for a night light in the kitchen. Being a side by side refrigerator gives me more room to store frozen foods without having to stack things on top of each other. The see through glass shelves in all compartments gives me an easier job of finding what I am looking for and are removable for easy cleaning. The three drawers in the refrigerator section gives me a better choice of what to keep where. The temperature selection on one of the drawers gives me the option to keep meats for a longer time without having to worry about spoilage. As for dislikes about this refrigerator I do not have any ! I would buy another of this same model today if this one were to stop working. I highly recommend this model and have talked a couple of my friends into buying the same model.

"The Amana is a great buy."
We have had the Amana French door refrigerator for about 1 year now and we love it. It takes up less space than the old refrigerator we had and it has the energy star logo, so it uses much less energy. The doors on this refrigerator give us much more space than the old side-by-side we had before. I also like the fact that the freezer is on the bottom. It is the best refrigerator that we have had up till now. It looks great in the kitchen and matches all of our other appliances great. It is also great to have ice again, since the ice maker on our old refrigerator broke years ago. We got it for a very reasonable price and we got the $150 credit from the government. All in all it was a great purchase and we are very happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Customer Complaint-Side-By Side Refridge"
We purchased model # ARS2664AB, S/N 0009247612. We paid close to $2,000 for what we thought would be quality refrigerator with a good reputation. Your product performance is unsatisfactory. I will NEVER buy another Amana appliance again. The unit leaked all the freon out and is no longer working. We had this less than 10 years. I am not sure what kind of product you are manufacturing, but there is something seriously wrong with your company's claim to manufacturing quality products. I contacted a repairman to come and look at the refrigerator. He told me it would cost $700 just for the part to fix it. He also stated that he received a call from another client on the same unit with the same problem. Apparently the copper tubing was of poor quality and had tiny holes all over it. I wonder how many other of your customers bought the same piece of junk like we did. I had to go out and buy a new refrigerator because it was cheaper to buy a new one than repair yours!!!

"Best refrigerator I've ever owned"
I've been the owner of this refrigerator for about 6 months now, and it has honestly been the best I have ever owned. When my last refrigerator stopped working I did some research before purchasing a new one, and this model was the best bang for the buck I found. It has a very nice design, sleek and modern and fits in with my kitchen very well. It's also very quiet, you would never know it is there! The inside of the refrigerator is very well designed, there is a spot for practically everything. We had a party a few weeks ago and had way more food than we normally do, that wasn't a problem at all with all the room inside. The adjustable shelves are also a VERY nice feature, I own this abnormally tall cooking pot that doesn't fit into most refrigerators, but it does in this one! I'm looking to buy a new fridge to put in the garage for drinks, and I will definitely purchase another one of these.

"Over Ten Years Old and Still Going!"
I have owned this refrigerator for close to 15 years now, and it has been the best appliance I have owned to date! When I first had it installed I was not sure I would like it because it was so much bigger than my previous one! After using it for a few weeks, though, I feel in love with the size. I can adjust the shelves to fit different products and the dual light bulbs in the refrigerator really light up the products. I would have liked it if the bottom two drawers were easier to remove for cleaning purposes, but they do come out with a bit of wrestling. So far I have had to replace a light bulb that burned out, which took under ten minutes and was easy to accomplish. Incredibly, the light bulb that came with the unit lasted over 12 years, which seemed incredible. Over all, this was a great bargain after all these years, and I truly enjoy this refrigerator.

"Mom's Refrigerator Review"
I have owned this refrigerator for over five years and I do love it! This style has the freezer on the bottom and it is so convenient. Throughout the day I use the refrigerator storage many time more than the freezer section. I only go into the freezer section once or twice a day but the I'm constantly in the refrigerator portion. The only thing I dislike about this product is I wish the exterior and handles were made of a material that is a little easier to clean. I purchased the Amana brand because growing up that is the only brand we ever owned. Whenever the old Amana was replaced in the main kitchen it was put down in the basement to use as a spare. They lasted a lifetime and I trust this brand for providing a quality product. Overall I am very satisfied with my Amana refrigerator and I would recommend this particular model or any Amana product to my friends and family.
