I bought my refrigerator in 1962. Do they still make parts for it?

The people whose work in that company does not know or understand about the products of this company. I recently bought the freezer from this company and doesn't freezes the meat. I call the company they sent some one to fixed the problem. I still have the same problem I call the warranty department they keep telling me nothing wrong with my freezer but my meats in that freezer still doesn't freezes, the company still doesn't want to admit that there freezers doesn't work I've spent $ 850 on this freezer which I am so disappointed of how this company responded to my problem, mean while I still have the same problem. They don't answers my call any more I wasted $ 850.

"Side by side refrigerator"
We have got a 35 years old Admiral refrigerator and still it works properly. I just want to congratulate Admiral for high quality products. In my idea 35 years old with high quality is the best advertising for a company. You can proud of your quality.

I've had this unit for over 22 years, it only let me down one time, and that was a faulty defrost switch, it was replace very quickly at no cost to me, l am looking for another one to replace it, not because it's broken but just to upgrade, the outside has started to show it's age.

"Won't buy American Appliances"
Read all the satisfied customers reviews. They are all for fridges bought before Y2K. Then read all the dissatisfied reviews they are for recently purchased fridges , after Y2K. This fridge is no more than a piece of junk. It failed during the Warranty, new compressor. Still had to pay labor. Failed again, and again. I'm tired of American appliances. Shame on Home Depot for selling this garbage, shame on Whirlpool for making this garbage. No wonder they no longer warrant it for 5 years. Whirlpool also makes Magic Chef, Kitchen Aid and Maytag appliances, US appliance makers like Whirlpool are doing the same thing US automakers did with the cars, and overseas company are taking over their business. My next fridge will be GL or Samsung or anything but Whirlpool and not from Home Depot.

"Don't depend on parts being replaced"
Refrigerator is only 8 years old and a defrost heater part for the freezer is no longer available, must have been defective, they recommended buying a new refrigerator!

"I would definitely reccomend the Admiral brand from my personal experience."
I bought an admiral refrigerator in 1992 still working very good. We were out of electricity for two years and as soon as we got back electricity we plugged in our refrigerator it was ready to go. No regassing needed work just as great as we first bought it. I would definitely buy back an Admiral refrigerator.

"After seven years I'm done"
I purchased my Admiral LTF2112ARB refrigerator in Jan 2006, it is now May 2013 and my ice maker has stopped working for the second time. I said the first time I fixed it (at a cost of 300.00) that if it breaks again I will get another refrigerator. Well here I am shopping for another fridge. My fridge is an Admiral made in Mexico, and it is poorly made. The vegetable drawers stick and the doors, both fridge and freezer, do not lock tight when closed. Keeps things cool but I am tired of making my own ice when I purchased an appliance to do it for me. To fix the ice maker again will be another high cost and I'm sure it will break again just as the repair man told me the first time he fixed it. I didn't spend much for this refrigerator but I still expected it to work properly for the first ten years. Silly me.

"Top This"
I laugh at all of the attached Admiral reviews. My mother, age 86, still possesses an Admiral refrigerator in her home that was purchased on June 14, 1952. I know this as I'm holding the original 5 year Protection Policy that came with the unit. It's a model 962 with Serial number 1157378. Payments were $7 per month.

"My family member"
We bought our first refrigerator, and Admiral, in 1955, and have used it continually since then. Today it is our "cold drinks" keeper, but doubles as an overflow safe when company comes. We've never had a problem with it and will depend on it for years to come. It really is a "family member".

"49 years and still working"
My mother purchased an Admiral in 1962 and this one is still working. I told her she should receive a new model for free just for keeping it for so long. My mother resides in Mississippi. No repairs only defrost occasionally.

"Longevity of Admiral Refigerator"
Just wanted to let you know that we are the owners of an admiral refrigerator that is almost 38 years old! We have had only one minor repair on the refirigerator. Do we hold a record on having the oldest admiral refrigerator still operational? Thank you!

"The Admiral Fridge That Fit"
I bought my Admiral LTF2112ARB refrigerator nearly four years ago. I purchased it for only one reason; it was the only one I could find to fit the space in my house. While not the best reason to choose a refrigerator, I have been fairly satisfied with the appliance. It has been reliable and efficient with few exceptions. I like the glass shelves, but the top two are difficult to clean around the edges because the class cannot be removed from the frame, though the bottom shelf can. I have noticed that some items places against the rear wall will occasionally freeze. This is usually because the temperature knob gets bumped and turned to a colder setting. The dial would be better placed on the side wall. The only repair I have had to make was the fan motor quit after three years and had to be replaced. Other than that it has been reliable. If someone were to ask me if it was a good fridge, I have to say, "Yes."

"Amazing Admiral freezer"
To whom it may concern.. Want to share an amazing story with you. We purchased a freezer in 1967...This is an Admiral big freezer. As you are doing your math, you realize that this freezer is 43 years old.. It is also a freezer that has NEVER seen a repairman, despite the fact that one time our basement flooded and it stood in water for days. We have bragged about this for many years and now feel the need to compliment your company on the outstanding quality/make that we were smart enough to purchase. As long as this freezer runs, it is staying within our home... Thank you. Rose

"freezer fan"
we purchased our refrigerator more than 2yrs. ago and it works fine but just recently the fan fell of in the freezer section and stopped the bottom of the refrigerator to cool the food, unfortunately my father in-law knows how refrig. works and he put the fan back but we found that there was nothing pining the fan in place, you might want that checked out so other consumers will not have this problem and have to go thru the cost of having someone fix it when it is something so simple to do. thank you

"Faulty/Breaking Shelves"
My top two shelves have broke, one just weeks after purchase (which we were traveling when it happened and after returning - no warranty. Very short warranty on this)and then about a year later, another one has broke - both on same side and same place. Heavy use?? We are retired and only have two people using it. I would NEVER purchase this brand again
