"Absocold Cook N Cool"
Since anyone can post a review now, legitimate or not, DormSmart.com wanted to make sure you have the true facts about our Absocold Cook n Cool Unit. Absocold, the manufacturer, has been in business since 1969 providing these refrigeration units to hotels, universities, and the military successfully. Since 2009, DormSmart.com has sold numerous Cook N Cool units manufactured by Absocold. To date, we have only received 1 complaint about these popular units and that complaint was addressed under the manufacturer warranty and then resolved. Absocold?s units are backed by a 5 year or 7 year warranty depending upon the model selected. In the near future, we will be posting on youtube, a demo of the Absocold Cook N Cool model to allow shoppers to make up their own mind as to whether or not this unit is perfect for them so you won't just have to take our word for it or the word of any reviewer. Additionally, DormSmart.com offers a 30 day return policy to our customers. If a customer contacts DormSmart.com within 30 days of receipt of their purchase requesting a return, a RMA is issued for the return of the product. Once the product is returned, a refund is issued as per our return policy to the purchaser?s original form of payment (i.e., credit card or PayPal?) so shoppers have ample time to review and inspect their product. If a situation arises beyond the initial 30 day return period, the manufacturer warranty is applicable. If a customer is unable to locate their warranty information, we are always happy to assist them in contacting the manufacturer. "Extremely Loud Units"
Unit was purchased for a dorm room. It was extremely loud, constant buzzing and other sounds. Absocold wouldn't service, they sent another unit which was just as loud. Made your ears ring, totally unacceptable units for a dorm room. Purchased one from Microfridge and what a difference! Very quiet! Four months passed and still no refund from Absocold/Dormsmart even though we were given rma# and returned units promptly. Absocold's Customer Service Manager is extremely rude. Dormsmart doesn't respond at all. Both companies are very unprofessional. Go with Microfridge, it is a much better, higher quality unit with great customer service.
