History

Sears, Roebuck and Co. was founded in 1893 and first used the Kenmore name in 1913; however, Sears did not officially register the Kenmore trademark until 1933. In 2004, Sears merged with Kmart. Headquarted in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Sears is a publicly held company trading on NASDAQ with the symbol SHLD.
