"Dump Run"
Got a brand new fridge, range and dishwasher in 2020 for our new place on the coast. Fridge broke immediately and was warranteed. Freezer still kinda freezes, is what it is. Oven, flimsy lower door. Burners erratic, but worked. Oven stopped heating. A tech from the small community came out and pointed out a wire fell off as it sat there all by itself. Service charge and fixed. Guess what , oven still does not work. They returned and said ERC Board now needs replaced. Hell with the wire. Total costs w labor about the same as new. The lady suggested I contact whirlpool CS and see what they would do. 48 min on hold talked to a pleasant lady in Georgia. She was unable/unwilling to do a damn thing. Looked up warranty info. Wrong state, could not ID the oven via serial and model number. Got them both wrong first time, did not help second time. My guess a call center of some type. Forwarded me to parts and the call was cut off. Oven maybe used 6 times. Called the people that serviced it to see if they wanted it, they declined. I thought this was a decent company. Oven looks brand new still, but terrible workmanship and customer service. This is just a part time home for us. Oven is maybe 2 years old. Wow. Ideas to write about: I Liked appliance as it was new. Was hoping for 20 years or so. Dislike? It never really worked correctly. Thought this was a good brand and even hoped they would treat me fair. Would you buy the same brand again. Nope not after this treatment.

"Spark Module Replaced-4 year old Oven"
Four years ago, we decided to replace our 20+ years old stove/oven just for cosmetic reasons. We have had no issues in all those years and decided that we did not want the extended warranty offered since the last oven was reliable all those years. Recently, while baking, the oven just quit working. Since the problem to resolve could have been one of many, we contacted a service company to come out and take a look at the oven. The repair person indicated that the issue was the spark module (part# W11162730), a common and much replaced part for Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana products. The cost to replace the part, labor & service was half the cost of a new oven. If this is a common issue, Whirlpool should initiate a recall or extend the warranty to this part.

"Don't buy Whirlpool"
Piece of junk. Can't find the model number on the range. Takes too long to reach oven temp but when using a oven thermometer it doesn't reach the set temp until 20 or 30 minutes. Have to reheat the broiler and after opening the door it still doesn't toast garlic bread. I am ready to reinstall my 30 year old stove.

"Risk of death"
Burner Knobs do not have a fail safe that keeps them from coming on if accidentally bumped. We have found them to be emitting natural gas on multiple occasions. whirlpool responded that if I don't want them to come on when bumped, we need to remove all the knobs when not in use. Will notify UL as well. Never buy Whirlpool due to poor safety and customer care. FYI the refrigerator of the same product line has a failed ice maker and internal fan which I have replaced.

"Broiler"
The under-oven broiler has no rack or pan. You have to purchase them separately as an accessory. If the rack and pan are considered accessories shouldn't the heating element be considered an accessory also? What about the knobs? I consider this to be cheap and cheesy. Had I known, I would have passed on this stove.

"Engineering factory defect"
This happened after only 15 months of use. The stove has a factory defect it should have a fuse link that feeds the relay that turns on the oven elements and because of that when an element burns out it has a higher chance to fry the circuitboard which in turn is it going to cost you $460 plus Labour to replace it. Whirl pool would not cover this under warranty Knowing this is a manufacturers defect

"Avoid like the plague"
Purchased this stove because it looked great. Now after 1 year of use even the looks are awful. Scratches in the painted (NOT even enamelled) where pots have touched the surface area around the glass top and where non-abrasive cotton dish cloths have been used to cleanup. One of the control knobs stripped and must be replaced. As for the control panel - which has been replaced once already under warranty- it has gone blank again and the oven cannot be used. I'm calling for service but before ai do, feel the need to tell you: AVOID WHIRLPOOL like the plague.

"Very dangerous"
The knobs in front are sensative and if bumped the gas goes on. My grand daughter bumped the knob while getting popcorn from the microwave above and caught fire while reaching and then the bag caught fire. On and on. I was angry I could have hurt her badly. I ordered this online not seeing the obstacle. Many times we smell gas because the front knobs got bumped. This is NOT safe!

"Constant problems"
Bought new and always getting an F6 error. That meaning I can't use my oven until a technician comes to fix it. Happens every few months and now its out of warranty and whirlpool will not do anything about it. Scummy company just in it for money. Do not buy their products.

"Do not buy"
Never buy this product. I bought new with town house exactly after 2 years burner heads making yellow flames. Called whirlpool paid 365$ to change burnes and in 8 months had same problem again. They even gave one year waranty but I called and they said this part is out of stock. Called on 24 June and today is October 25 its 4 months and they even don't have parts. Actually they don't want to cover under waranty. This past is only 10 to 20$ but they charge high prices. Any one who will buy this range will spent more money that the price of range to maintain it. I recommend donot buy whirlpool Amana may tag products they are designed to work for short periods and they make more money from parts. I wil never buy these brands again. Any one want proof can Calle

"Stove a great gramma cooked on in a rental house"
When we were told by our property manager that the property owner was going to sell our rental home and that we would be relocated to another property across town, I actually cried. I cried because I loved the newer black stove (not a Whirlpool) in that home so much. The house that we were relocated to had a great gramma aged type Whirlpool stove, that was dirty, rickety and ugly. There was crud imbedded around the coil plates, along the top, and in the seams along the stove, which was impossible to clean. Soon thereafter the burners started to play games with us. First they would not shut off and stay very hot and kept cooking. Next they would stay stone cold and not heat up at all when they were turned on. Most of the time it was luck of the draw if they worked at all. Then this week the oven stopped working and a bright orange F appeared with a constant and an annoying beeping that would not stop until the stove was unplugged. I called my landlord (property manager) and he said that he would "come take a look at it." I replied to "please not bother, we'll just get a new one." That is how I felt about this unit. After having a newer other brand prior to this for 3 years then having to "put up with" this ancient relic for the past 3 years I was willing to go into debt (which we can't afford) for a beautiful Amana and pay for it ourselves even though I am a Senior on medical disability and my family consists of grandchildren and a working single parent, middle income earner. This is HOW I feel about this stove that I suffered with each and every single day frustrated, frighted, worrying every second that the obviously dangerous stove would break and spark a fire or possibly explode? while I or other members of my family was cooking dinner. Shame on landlords for insisting on keeping hazardous appliances in their rentals and not taking responsibility to provide safe and clean necessities as a part of their rental properties (which by the way they are required by law to do so.) God Bless our past landlord, a young man named, JW, in Eugene Oregon, that purchased a brand new stove and refrigerator (neither were Whirlpools) from Lowe's, when early on it was pointed out to him that they were too old and not in reliable or near presentable condition. Leaving the Pacific Northwest and returning to the lower South West was unpleasant and disappointing to say the least. I love you JW. And we appreciated you more than you will ever know, and we especially love any and all other brands than Whirlpool.

I bought a stove in July 2018 new and now I get a problem with it I called customer service they told me it was only 1year warranty. I picked it by mistake I thought I got a Samsung. Any Samsung products I purchased came with a 10 years warranty and their products are very good. I encourage you to buy Samsung you won't regret it...

"Junk Product"
I've had this oven for for about a year and a half. The control display has gone out and it's going to cost me almost $600.00 to repair it. That is more than half of what I paid for it brand new. I do not recommend this product.

"Piece of garbage"
I spent the extra money on this stove and picked it over the LG and boy am I sorry. The aqua lift self clean does not clean! The oven does not hold heat so make sure you cook anything longer than normal! As the heat escapes through the top of the door! About thinly thing I do like about this stove is that it preheats quicker than my old Kenmore, however my Kenmore held the heat

"Very, very unsatisfied Customer"
Purchased this stove in 2018. On 7/12/2021 turned oven on to heat food, not even 5 minutes later heard this arching sound. I was turning volume up on tv so thought that was where it was coming from. Wrong, baking element was sparking fire. Thank God I didn't go upstairs as I sometime would do, home could have possibly gone down in flames. As I was told the element is floating and does not touch metal, so what caused the fire sparks? There is no recall and this model is not even on the market any more. I guess Whirlpool will take action when something drastic happens. For me replacing the baking element is not going to remove the fear that this oven can't be left unattended and I don't have time to watch the oven for hours while food is cooking. Whirlpool this is unacceptable, you have got to be more concerned with the construction of your products. Will not purchase another whirlpool appliance.

"Stay away from Whirlpool Ovens they are dangerous"
I don't have a problem with how this stove cooks. The problem is the knobs easily comes on when you cleaning or cooking. If you can't smell or have small children this stove can be very life threatening. We attempted to buy locks for the knobs but nothing fits. Purchase a different type of store. I do not recommend Whirlpool.

"Definitely avoid!"
In the course of 25 years, i have had occasion to purchase 4 stoves during remodel upgrade efforts. This stove has definitely been the worst! The sad part is the prior oven, (made by the same manufacturer under a different brand), was way better, despite being 25 years old. What do i like about this oven - pretty much nothing What do i dislike - electronic panel is way too sensitive. A wet rag just touching the panel will turn off the oven mid process self clean is virtually useless - oven is Very lightly soiled. Self clean process did nothing. I ultimately cleaned it off with baking soda and vinegar, to give you a sense of how lightly soiled. The storage drawer is the tinny-est ever The burner enamel after approx 2 years is in worse shape than the prior oven after 25 years. Would I buy the same brand again - a most definite, No!

"The worst range ever!"
Absolutely the worst range ever. Aqua clean is terrible, looks like a ten year old oven, already replaced one element control $100, now the oven temp control has to be replaced. Nothing but apathy from whirlpool. They'll send a tech, $80 an hour plus parts. I'll never buy another whirlpool product, in fact I'll never buy new. Find a used range.

"Whirlpool appliances are..."
By far the worst appliances (bought the whole suite 2 years ago) I have ever purchased or used for that matter. We have a family of cooks and spend a lot of time preparing meals. The hunk of junk Whirlpool slide in stove that was purchased, takes forrrrrever to reach temperature, The aqualift cleaning feature does absolutely nothing other than require awkward positioning to mop up water from the stoves interior, painted plastic edges (painted to look like stainless )that have chipped away since day one. Contacted customer service, ha ha ha what a joke. Are we being punked? i Could go on about the rest of the suite, but the bottom line is, Whirlpool is overly priced.
