"Very unsatisfied"
Bought a top of the line Amana kitchen stove about 17 1/2 years ago. Was told by many Amana was the best. Within 2 years of owning the stove, 1/2 the burners had to be lit with a match. Amana told me, that happens. 7 years in, the oven ignitor stopped working during cooking the Thanksgiving turkey. $140.00 repair. Bottom of stove has holes rusted through to the storage drawer, storage drawer warped and wouldn't close, upper stove light stopped working 4 years ago and now the oven ignitor went bad again. I refuse to repair again. Very poor product.

"Hate it!"
Purchased basic Amana gas stove in December 2011 after old stove when kaput. Eleven months later, while preparing thanksgiving dinner, the oven overheated. I had to call the fire department because I could not get it to shut off! They couldn't turn it off either, and shut the gas off. I planned to call The store where purchased the following Monday, but it worked fine over the weekend... silly me, thought it was just a fluke, About 5 months later, the same thing happened again! Of course by then, the manufacturers warranty had expired, and I did not purchase extended warranty. Called repair guy who told me the gas valve and sensor needed replacing... to the tune of $300! I paid less than $500 for the stove new... no way was I going to pay that and only get 90 day warranty! I ended up buying a used Magic Chef for half the price of repair, and it is working fine. Never again will I buy Amana!

"Why I love my Amana Stove"
I bought my Amana stove a year ago, and have been very satisfied. It heats up quickly, and maintains heat. I'm short, so I really appreciate that it is not a very tall stove. If there's anything I dislike, it would be the fact that the digital pad for settings takes a little while to get used to. As of yet I have not had to have any repairs done on it, and I doubt I will need to. I've had several Amana products over the years, and never once have I had to have a repair done. I will continue to buy Amana, and hope that others will as well.
