"Absolutely Horrible!"
I got my refrigerator in December and by March already needed service because the water/ice dispenser was no longer working. Last week I noticed frost on my meats and by the time I got home, my meat was thawing out. Had service tech come out and said a new compressor was needed and a new refrigerator was necessary. I've been on the phone since Saturday trying to get a resolution and it's Tuesday, still nothing. The tech never notated my records, GE will only give $100 for food lost. Hell, just the refrigerator was $100 in food, not to include all the meat I lost, all the coolers I had to buy and the countless times running to get ice because of the weather. To make matters worse, the tech never notated my records from the service call on Saturday and it's Tuesday. Good grief!!!

"Inferior product"
In the 4 yrs we've owned this refrigerator we have had several service calls, (need another one). The interior has frozen every bit of food, small drawer pieces have broken off, the water dispenser has inexplicably turned on, it would also periodically refuse to dispense water, the ice maker would periodically not dispense ice (even with a knock to the storage container). Between this and replacing a Profile microwave after 2 years, and a poorly performing Profile oven, I could not recommend this product.

"Rust spots on stainless steel doors of the refriferator."
My refrigerator is less than 2 years old. About a year ago we noticed rust spots appearing on the stainless steel. It wasn't something you could rub off, it was imbedded into the metal. I called GE at the 1 year mark and requested they create a report and they did. We are not always at this home so we didn't see it as it was rusting. Their Consumer Affairs division said it is environmental. Our AC is set 76 , 24/7 and the humidistat pulls humidity out of the air. There is no way the environment here in the house is causing the refrigerator to rust. I believe the grade of their stainless steel is inferior.

"Worst possible design and performance"
This side by side fridge / freezer is a ridiculously useless design. Neither side can hold any reasonable quantity of anything, but I should have been smart enough to see that before purchasing so I take the "bad" on that. But what drives me nuts is the relentlessly useless water and ice dispenser. Neither which has worked well Since a year or so after purchase. The water dispenser stopped working years ago and I follow their service recommendations of replacing their filters as a resolve (at 40$. Pop) to no avail. The ice maker is now an ice dispenser as I have been reduced to making ice in an ice maker and pouring said ice into the GE unit. Given we have a full suite of GE kitchen appliance# (all Profile) that are being replaced as soon as possible, I can honestly say I will stay far away fro GE as possible in the future. We had two GE profile dishwashers including one with a thermal event in which the heater element turned itself on at night to an impossibly high temperature and melted the interior of the machine. I cannot imagine what might have happened had we not been home that night to hear the fire alarm. We rep, aced that unit with Bosch which was more expensive to say the least but well worth the money you get what you pay for and I will no longer pay any price for any GE problem. Just my humble experience.

"Poor Quality"
The fridge is expensive enough to expect quality design from this Chinese product, but the shelf breaks from use. Do not place heavier food on it, and use it as a stationary shelf. If you choose to buy one of these, just know that you will be replacing the slider shelf often. Make sure you get it replaced during your 1 year warranty, otherwise, you are on your own. I'm in the process of buying a replacement even though I have a warranty because all drawers and shelves are considered cosmetic and unnecessary. Also, the freezer handle comes loose and hangs. And the water trap below the dispenser has many holes and pillars making it difficult to clean. I prefer keeping a folded paper towel on it, so I can easily replace daily, ugly but effective. I'm assuming that the handle is also cosmetic and unnecessary. Other than these irritating defects. It has kept the food cold. Next time I will buy a very inexpensive refrigerator to go along with the cheap quality. Why pay so much money when you don't get the quality to go along with the expense?

"Worst design ever!"
This is a $9000 refrigerator. A built in. Which would lead me to believe that it would be top notch, right? Not! The water and ice dispenser spits ice everywhere! I've had 3 different parts sent to me that don't work on this fridge. I've had a serviceman come twice and he says there's no fix for it, and that the company told him to tell us to use glasses with 4 inch rims in diameter. Can't find any. You also have to hold it up as high as possible to stop the ice going all over you and the floor. I'm constantly on my knees crawling on my hard tile floors picking up ice. Tell me, how do I fill my thermos? They won't do anything for me. Grrrrrr! No I would never buy this again!!

"Great Family-Friendly Fridge"
I have owned this refrigerator for about a year. I love the automatic ice maker with water/crushed ice/cubed ice dispenser. Great to have with 3 children ages 7-14. The amount of space inside is incredible, we can fit a weeks worth of dinner in it with space left over. The shelves inside can be adjusted and the racks on the doors can be moved up or down to accommodate larger bottles like wine bottles. The freezer is a pull out on the bottom and has a top and bottom to it. The "Pizza Drawer" is perfect to keep a few pizzas without them getting in the way of getting other things out of the freezer. The only thing I dislike about this fridge is how its a little hard to clean up spills inside the fridge. However, it is like that will most all fridges. I have never needed to repair it other than changing out the water filter every few months-a very easy task. I would definitely buy the same fridge again and recommend it to my friends. It is a great fridge and at a reasonable price.

"Loud Ice Maker"
Shortly after our Profile fridge was delivered, we discovered water on the floor. We had to have a repair man out twice, he fixed it and it was back but in a different place. They finally said they knew what was wrong but a part had to be ordered and there was welding involved. We called the salesman who just replaced the whole thing. Now our new one has a extremely loud ice maker when the ice drops. Our bedroom is upstairs and on one side of the house and it has woke my husband and myself up from a sound sleep with the noise from time to time.

"My Refrigerator is great when it actually works"
I've owned my refrigerator for about 6 years now and am somewhat satisfied with it. I like that it is stainless steel and looks very heavy duty but I am not happy with the way the ice-maker works. After having the refrigerator operating in my kitchen for approximately 3 years, there was a leak that I noticed coming from the bottom. It appeared that they tube that was meant to carry water to the ice-maker was frayed, and began leaking. I tried ordering a new tube, but it became difficult because I didn't know which tube to order, and even if I had known, I would not know how to install it. I had to call a repairman to come and evaluate the refrigerator to test it, and order the parts, and repair it. I would certainly buy the same brand again, because aside from the repair to the ice-maker, I have not had any other problems with the refrigerator, even though I've had it for quite some time, and use it daily.

"GE Profile Rocks!"
I've owned our GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator for over 2 years and I have been very pleased with both its performance and its appearance. It's a very sleek, stylish, aesthetically pleasing appliance and really looks sharp in our kitchen. The electronic control panel (in the door) for the water and ice is very hi-tech, and the filtering system definitely improves the taste of our city water. The glass shelves are fully adjustable, and one of them actually drops has a front section that drops down and slides back so that taller containers can be placed on the front of the shelf and smaller items can be placed on the back half shelf. Very convenient! Although we've never had any mechanical problems with our GE Profile, I have to admit that the stainless steel exterior is difficult to keep clean. I have to use special stainless steel cleaner and wipes quite frequently because the stainless shows every fingerprint and smudge. All things considered though, this is an exceptional refrigerator and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

"model PSS26MGTCC"
The worst refridgerator ever built, 3 years old and GE doesn,t make the parts to fix it. Freezer door leaks water all over kitchen floor. GE no longer makes the part to fix it.It needs a new replacement freezer door to fix problem , but GE doesn,t make this door anymore. Its only 3 years old . Problem started at 1 year old. Do not buy a GE rifridgerator, they leak water, and they do not make replacement parts to fix the problem on the GE PROFILE, iTS THEIR TOP OF THE LINE REFRIDGERATOR. $2400.00 FOR A LEAKING PEICE OF SHIT.

"Not worth the money!!"
We purchased a side-by-side with all the bells & whistles, i.e. custom cool, express chill, turbo cool, beverage center. What we found out later when we started to have temperature variations that cause thawing in the freezer and unsafe temperatures in the refrigerator compartment, was that there was only one evaporator to support the separate air flow systems. DEFECT in my book, but to date, GE has not stood by their product and my very expensive unit is yet to be fixed. We have had a frost ball kit installed, foam placed at the main compartment temp sensors, a mother board was to be installed even though ours did not test bad. I refused to have it done at my expense if they were not sure that it would take care of the problem. I cannot believe that GE will not admit that this was a defective unit in their high-end models and that they can not figure out how to fix it. Perhaps it is not fixable?
