"Kitchen cabinets"
The first time that sent my cabinets I was 11 short and crown molding short. I reordered those cabinets. They came in with half of them not finished on all sides as I ordered and paid for. Then when starting to put cabinets together they sent 36 inch cabinet in place of a 39 inch. Now I have a 3 inch gap on a wall with the fridge. I spent and lot of time and money building a house to have awful cabinets in it. I would never recommend these cabinets.

"Poor quality and bad customer service"
We purchased the Cardell Concepts in Lanston gray and 2 out 16 cabinets had damaged corners and when we put some painters tape on it pulled the finish off only on those two cabinets the other were fine when tape was removed, I called the company and the lady told me you can't put painters tape on them (even though the others did fine with tape). I filled out a installed complaint form (for Menards, I told them i wanted exact match paint and money back, Cardell says " we dont compensate money for defective products" Didn't even offer some exact match paint either. I should have read the reviews before ordering because there are alot of bad reviews for this company and they could care less because they got their money, same with Menards Where is the Quality Control?

"Absolutely NO quality control!"
The idea of getting real wood products it great, a good option, but when you get 3 of the 4 pieces of your bottom half of kitchen cabinets that arrived very poorly packaged and broken, that's kind of unacceptable! Some may say that to point out blemishes, you're picky, but when its a crease in the wood, you wonder why you paid so much extra for quality. Personally, if I knew then what I know now, I would have gone with another company!

"More trouble than ever worth"
Ordered cabinets and almost from the very start at a Minard's store things went from bad to worse. We were told that the order was already n production and no changes could be made. The people at Minard's were so unconcerned and no help. Then we decided we would order the items we wanted and deal with it later. That also turned out a total disaster, and they wanted an additional $2,409.00 for doors from standard to glass and 2 drawer base units to standard door 24 inch base units. SO we decided I would cancel to 2nd order and do our own adjustments. We waited for 4 weeks and I stopped into the Minard's store and was informed they would not send the money back I had to come to the store to receive my money paid in cash. So I asked for the $2,409.00 dollars and the employee informed me the most a person can receive a day was 2 thousand, and so I said I will take $2,000. and I was paid 2 grand in 20 dollar bills. We waited for over 2 months for the original order to be delivered and almost weekly we received a update of expected delivery and none ever panned out as promised. This game went on for many days and I contacted Cardell numerous times and every time I got a different non-English speaking person. Finally after discovering our products were sitting in a freight delivery warehouse in Hot Springs AR and they were waiting till they had other delivers to our area before they would deliver. Eventually I contacted a lawyer and it seemed things started moving and a different carrier delivered our items today. He drove to our home last evenign and was sttting in our driveway this AM.

"Extremely poor quality"
The quality of 5 of 13 cabinets was so poor that replacements were warranted as well as numerous doors and panels needing replacement. Replacements were no better and potentially worse than originals. Assembly line construction with pathetic quality control. Do not purchase Cardell cabinets! Company Rep was respectfully and tries his best to resolve, but the bottom line is These are not quality cabinets. Not worth the $$!

"Poor quality cabinets but high end price"
Very poor quality cabinets. Had 2 damaged cabinets and 13 door fronts! Then had to wait another 6 weeks to replace them with more damaged when they came in!! You would think they would put my reorder at top priority before anyone else's but Not! Very disappointed and would never recommend Cardell cabinets to anyone!

"Beware"
I bought $22,000 of Cardell cabinets from Menards. I received a call six days ago stating that they would be delivered between 1pm and 4pm today, the 11th of February. This morning I received a text saying the cabinets had been shipped in full for delivery (I am about three hours from their manufacturing facility). At 12:50 this afternoon I called their customer support and was told they cabinets would be at my home at 3pm. At 4pm I called the same customer support and was put on hold. When she came back on she said the cabinets new delivery date was February 21 (TEN DAYS FROM NOW). She stated that it was due to "weather issues". Needless to say I raised hell. I was told that she could no longer talk to me and that I had to call Menards. I did that and was told they would get back to me after they called Cardell. An hour later Menards called back and stated that they had contacted Cardell and I should hear something later today. About 5:20 I received a call from the regional Cardell rep. From Columbus Ohio who said that he "just got" the call and did not have time to get in touch with the company before they closed and now he had to wait until Monday to get information. He said that they had been closed for a weather issue. My comment was, how does a day closed result in a TEN DAY delay? I explained to him that after three contacts from Cardell telling me that they would be here today, I had arranged for the contractor to be here on Monday (Feb 14) to begin the demo and installation and that I was paying by the hour. I also explained that I had to reschedule spine surgery to ensure that I was here for the start of the demo/installation and now, I was going to have to reschedule the surgery again, something that I absolutely do not want to do due to the condition of my spine. He kept saying he would contact me Monday morning, etc, etc. I am beside myself. I would be one thing had Cardell themselves not been the ones to contact me to tell me the date/time of delivery, and had I not been told twice today that they would be here today. Someone at Cardell is lying, there is absolutely no doubt to that. So now I am on hold until I hear from the rep on Monday, and will be responsible for the payment to the contractor as I am the one that told him to be here Monday morning because, again, I had been told three times that the cabinets would be here today (Friday). I really had been convinced by the Menards salesman of what a great company Cardell was, and I'm not so sure now that I was not being bsed to get my money. I will be okay with the cabinets not arriving until Monday or Tuesday at the very latest because they did have a bad weather storm for a day, so I will give them that (however that does not explain the three times I was told they would be here today, with two of those times being today). However, to expect me to wait a week and a half over a one day weather event is unacceptable. It is my plan that if I am told Monday by their rep that the cabinets will not be here until the 21st, I will be talking to an attorney to take legal action to recoup the costs that I am going to be out not only from the contractor, but also the issue with having to reschedule surgery twice. I apologize for repeating myself, I am simply beside myself with anger at the present time. I urge you to think about my experience when you are looking into spending thousands upon thousands of dollars for cabinets.

"Do not purchase their cabinets"
I'm going to post negative reviews everywhere. I was to have $22,000 in cabinets delivered today. It was checked twice before today. This morning I received a email stating they were on way. At 11:50 I called and was told after they checked, they would arrive at 3pm. At 4pm I called and was told that they would not be delivered for ten days because of weather issues. I checked, there was no wearer problems noted between their factory and my home. This is a total lie as twice today I was told they would be here this afternoon. I have a contractor that will be here Monday. I have had to reschedule spinal surgery on my back to ensure I would be here today. Now I must reschedule again. I'm going to let the world know that this company cannot be trusted and to order from another company. I will also be addressing this through legal channels on Monday. "Don't expect correct items or fast service."
After placing the order with Menards we were given the date of July 16th for delivery. We had our kitchen floors redone so the week prior to receiving our new cabinets we took out our lower cabinets including our sink base for the new flooring. We were then called the Saturday before our expected delivery and told the cabinets were not coming on time with no expected delivery date. One week goes by and nothing, so the second week I started placing calls to Cabinet Works to see where and when we would get them. I was told they were shipped and at the warehouse in Fargo. I then called the shipping company XPO and they told me they were waiting on a back order. So back to calling Cabinet Works they told me my order shouldn't be held up by a back order. I then got Menards involved but honestly they really just emailed the company is all and spoke to their sales representative. To get our cabinets delivered I got the BBB involved and the Attorney General. After writing to the BBB our 1st Oder was then shipped out. Two of the cabinets are not what we thought we ordered. On the Menards program it showed a picture of what we wanted but because there were different variations of the cabinet the picture showing on their screen doesn't change as to what is ordered. So a long story short look in their book and make sure the cabinet is what you want because the computer program doesn't always show the correct picture. We had to pay the difference for this issue and are now waiting an additional 18 weeks for the 2 cabinets. I am just guessing but don't expect them on time. If I had to do it over I would go to a local cabinet manufacturer. After doing research to find Cardell's legal name and information I found all of the companies Menards sells are owned by the same company just have different names. Cardell's phone number is 1-888-221-3872 good luck if you order from this company and if you call see how many time they answer with a different company name.

"Poor Quality - Worse Customer Service"
I was placed in a position by Cabinetworks that requires me to tell my story to the Better Business Bureau and social media sites. Cabinetworks makes Cardell cabinets, which I purchased, and sells them exclusively through Menards in the Midwest. Importantly, Cabinetworks, recently acquired by Platinum Equity, also manufactures Medallion, Yorktowne, Kraftmaid, Merrilat, DesignCraft, Serenade, Quality, Schuler, MasterCraft, Advanta, Echelon, Master Wood Craft, Smart, studio full access, Cabinets 2000, American Cabinetry Collection, and Modico. It is not a stretch to believe that some or all the issues I detail below could be experienced by purchasers of those brands also. Summary 1. Certain Cabinetworks filler pieces are the dimensions listed on spec sheets and some are not the dimensions listed the spec sheets or on any documentation provided to the customer. Cabinetworks' 96" filler pieces appear to come in in two lengths, but neither are actually 96". 2. Cabinetworks could not deliver a 36" piece of filler within seven days to allow for the necessary total filler length I needed for my project. As a result I had to redesign my laundry room renovation 24 hours before the project started or I would have been required to pay a $500 to $1000 date / scope change fee to my craftsmen. 3. Cabinetworks has not fully trained its Cardell retailers to sell Cabinetworks cabinets and / or its specification manuals are difficult to decipher. 4. The cabinets I received came with multiple blemishes on the doors. 5. Several Cardell cabinet backs required gluing and nailing by the installer to get them into specification. Instead of further dealing with Cabinetworks' lack of urgency and care, I simply insourced the solving of these problems and personally went out of pocket financially to resolve them. 6. Cabinetworks has taken no real, accountable ownership of my issue and no one from Cabinetworks management has ever engaged with me after at least eight communications with their staff. There was no meaningful outcome offered at any time by Cabinetworks throughout this process, both before cabinet and installation or after. In fact, I was told, and I quote, that no "miracle" would happen. I was also told the issue resided entirely, "contractually", with the retailer as Cabinetworks sought to wipe their hands of this matter. 7. If outcome focused customer service rather than blame transfer is important to you, consider a different cabinet manufacturer than Cabinetworks all together. If quality construction is important to you, consider something other than Cardell.

"Fell in love & am totally disatisfied"
Cabinets came damaged due to truck accident. Reordered & new cabinets looked worse that first set. No customer service... what happened to "make the customer happy" I spent $8000+ and my contractor is having to piece together 1st delivery & 2nd delivery to make a complete kitchen which I have been without since 4/15. So much for my dream kitchen.

"Terrible customer service!"
I mosied into my local Menards because it was finally time to redo my kitchen! Exciting! I met with a consultant and contracted with Cardell Cabinetry on 1/17/20 for the cabinetry part of the remodel. There's always some lag time with custom anything so that was no issue. I expected that. I received my cabinets on 3/3/20 and that's where it all started to go downhill. One of the cabinets was missing a chunk and another was built wrong. I don't know what happened to the missing chunk nor do I care at this point. The cabinet built wrong... just what the actual? How do you not know how the cabinets for particular orders are supposed to be configured and built? Ok. I got this. No big deal. I'll just call Cardell and get these cabinets replaced. They said oops and that they would have my cabinet replacements in 7-10 days. March was coming to a close and in 2020 we all know what that means! Luckily, my cabinets were constructed and ready to be delivered. Right? Wrong. I called on March 25th, hey guys where's my cabinets? It's been most of a month and you said I'd have them way before this date. Oh? Coronavirus? You don't say. Uh huh. I hear ya. I guess I kinda thought you'd have my cabinets done well before this situation became dire seeing as how you said 7-10 days from March 3, which according to my calendar was a couple weeks ago? No? Ok I see. When will they be ready? Mumble mumble. Ok well do the best you can. I really need those cabinets. So, the big day finally arrives! I'm permanently ticked at them and that's just not going to get any better with how the rest of this ordeal unfolds. Mind you this is more than 4 weeks after they were promised to be redelivered. Of course, I have to work. As a respiratory therapist, you might imagine, I'm a little busy lately, myself. No big deal. My mom was happy to head over to my house to receive the delivery. The delivery driver shows up early, plunks the cabinets on my porch and says he can't bring them in because of... you guessed it... covid-19. That meant my 70 year old mom ended up lugging them into the house. My. 70. Year. Old. Mom. Ok, granted my mom didn't have to lug them in! She could have waited for me to get home, but when has anyone's mom ever waited for her kids (even grown ones) to get home to do something they could just get out of the way quickly. Still not cool of their delivery people to do that nor to tell me that that was going to be the case when they called to schedule the delivery, finally! On top of all that? Now one of the cabinets is a totally different color than the rest. Not even close. Not a make the best of it because it's close enough. Nope. Wrong. Just wrong. I probably won't even get the replacement for this one until sometime in 2021 at this rate. I totally get that mishaps happen. I get that the world is a bit sideways right now. This is not how you run a business. It just isn't. In case it wasn't clear, I highly discourage anyone from using Cardell Cabinetry. You'd be better off taking up cabinetry making as a hobby. You sure couldn't do worse than they did.
